Duterte's Presidency : Expectations, Controversies, Rants, Etc.

Recommended Posts

Duterte is not claiming that there will be zero corruption. Corruption is already there for generations. He clearly said he will not tolerate corruption, meaning, he will not cover up corrupt activities of government officials even if they are his political allies.

More cases are being uncovered by COA specifically because the present administration do not cover them up.

Cesar Montano? Wanda Teo? Calida? What did Duterte say after it was uncovered by COA?

Just wondering.

Prdd is a Disgrace to the Filipino People. He's been committing impeachable offense after impeachable offence ever since he took office. He's able to escape being thrown out only because he controls the Congress. This treasonous man should be ousted. Btw, I'm not a dilawan, pula, Verde,or any freakin color - I just love our country. I don't want to see the Philippines implode.

Can you enumerate the so-called series of impeacheable offenses?

What treason did he commit?

How will the Philippines implode?

At the top of my head, human rights (the right to life and due process) is enshrined in the constitution... and he did so ordered (or kung magmamatigas kayo -suggested- to) the police/army to ignore that annoying section in the constitution.

Treason - by not upholding our sovereignty vs China.

Maybe graft and corruption, by asking a private individual/business to ferry him to and from Manila to Davao.

Betrayal of public trust by always reappointing corrupt officials after firing them of corruption accusation.

Maybe more..

A. Culpable Violation of the Constitution (ie. the deliberate and wrongful breach of the Constitution):

  1. Ordering law enforcement to disregard human rights in conducting Oplan Tokhang/Double Barrel
  2. Agreeing to joint exploration of the West Philippine Sea with China

B. Betrayal of the Public Trust (i.e any act which brings the Office in question to disrepute)

  1. Reappointing Cabinet members who he himself claimed were tainted with corruption
  2. Retaining manifestly unqualified public officers, despite repeated public gaffes and failures in the performance of their duties and responsibilities
  3. Refusing to seek the enforcement of the arbitral award of the Permanent Court of Arbitration over the West Philippine Sea against China

C. Graft and Corruption (any violation of R.A. 3019 and of the relevant provisions of the Revised Penal Code)

  1. Failing to declare known and existing bank accounts with significant transactions in his SALN

B)

May babysitter na pala si boysen2018.

Sasagot nalang hihimayin pa, nasaan ung sagot about sa treason? And the country imploding?

Present nga ng copy official order to disregard human rights.

Maski si acting CJ nagsabing pwede yan basta guided by our laws.

Good luck in proving each baseless allegation.

Good luck in proving each baseless allegation.

Sasabat kalang dyan sablay kapa.

At galunggong. Ini-import na din natin. Para "daw" ma stabilize ang presyo. At galing WPS pa yun imported galunggong.

The best and brightest talaga ang mga kinukuha nitong pangulo nina Bolj...

Another non-issue.

People really don't care how much galunggong cost nowadays.

Anyway, even if the government gives away free galunggong to the people, it will still be wrong in your twisted perception.

PH still Asean’s top performer

Despite some short-term concerns on inflation, the Philippines is still Southeast Asia’s outperformer and the recent stock market pullback has only opened fresh investment opportunities, Manulife’s top Asia fund manager said.

In an interview with the Inquirer on Friday, Manulife Asset Management chief executive officer Michael Dommermuth said there was “enormous” growth opportunity within the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (Asean) region.

1. Nothing in the Constitution allows the President to suspend the Bill of Rights.

2. AJ Carpio has consistently said that joint development with another country is unconstitutional.

Either he was lying or pakitang tao lang re: corruption issues.

4. Aquino allowed Alcala to be investigated and eventually be indicted.

5. AJ Carpio, in an interview with ABS-CBN in July 2016, laid out the options to enforce the Hague PCA award. He never said we can’t enforce it.

6. Duterte admitted to the existence of the BPI Julia Vargas account, and as far as anyone knows this was never disclosed in any if his SALNs, past or present. What more proof do you need?

Really? We have jointly developed Malampaya Offshore with US and UK. We jointly developed Makban geothermal with US.

5. still you cant force them to follow the Hague award...

As part of the team that pursued the case at The Hague I'm sure AJ Carpio was apprised by both Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Defense the realities of enforcing the ruling. We cannot aggressively enforce The Hague ruling due to both economic and military considerations.

Any statesman like Aj Carpio, would never admit in public the weaknesses of his country. Of course he will never say in public that we can't enforce it.

On the other hand, your idol Trillanes blatantly admitted to the Chinese during his backdoor negotiations that our military has no effective means of defending Scarborough Shoal against China, so they promptly sent their ships to push us out.
