gift_of_game Posted January 13, 2008 Share Posted January 13, 2008 (edited) ^actually, kung sa bagong labas lang, usually may lag time pa bago lumabas sa outlet, anywhere between 3 to 6 months. and kung meron man, halos ganun din naman yung introductory price nya, nasa $120 pataas, lalo na yung mga Jordan. it takes a while din naman para bumaba yung presyo kaya tsambahan din talaga. ang pangit pa sa outlet, hindi rin naman nila nilalabas yung lahat ng colorway. kaya nga dyan ako napabili nung zoom lebron iii, wala na akong mahanap na black/gold dito. nakuha ko pa naman siya nung nasa 4.5 k pa siya. in all fairness, hindi naman siya inabot ng isang taon. really love that pair, instant classic! yung top-level na signature shoes kasi, sa mga third-party shoe retailers muna inilalabas (foot locker, finish line etc.) tapos sinasabi pa minsan na "exclusive" yung release sa kanila. yung presyo nito, syempre nasa $100 pataas din. malaki Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 gift of game.. sz 12 ka din ba? hehe.. dami ko na palang kalaban. alala ko nung high school nakakairita kasi bihira lang ako makahanap ng sz ko sa pilipinas. and namimis ko yung mga employee discount sa america (kahit hindi ako employee).. nasanay ako sa 30% discount sa footlocker/champs/footaction.. 40% sa macy's or best buy.. basta kaibiganin nyo lang yung mga employees or managers (i mean, bisitahin mo din sila kahit minsan minsan). yung lebron 3 ko, pati lebron 2 din the year before, 50% off, kahit 1st day pa lang ng release, kasi every 2-3 months may employee appreciation ang footlocker. just bought my manager friend a cappucino ($4 ata or $5), and then i got my lebrons for like $60 ata or $65. even got the jordan 14 and 21 for 50% din. hehe. sulit diba? $5 coffee in exchange for a couple hundred bucks discount. dito naman, kahit may kilala ako manager ng stadium and park, i only get 15% (tapos pag sale, wala ng bawas, sa states meron kahit sale), and dami pang busisi. sometimes they have to call the main office pa just to authorize it. i think it's stupid din minsan, sometimes we have shoes in the stores or outlets here that have literally been there for years (2-3 years), and are already all yellowed and dirty from people trying them on (or abusing them - like when i saw someone picking up the 10k AF1 in on display in robinsons and then pushing the toebox in and literally scratching the leather with his thumbnail, gusto ko sampalin or pagsabihan pero pinabayaan ko na kasi customer din naman ako, wala kong karapatan). kuripot kasi mga stores. in america, it's more about getting the stock in and selling it out as quick as possible (the store only pays nike around half of the retail price), so they can keep the storeroom open for newer inventories. i think that's a better way of doing business. i'd rather make slightly less money quicker than wait and wait for more money that might or might not come 2 years later. I'm 11 1/2 - 12. my feet are really closer to 11 1/2 but I got wide feet. the employee discounts are really sweet. some kids who work at the nearby outlet admit that they work there for the kicks!and yeah, sweet hook-ups via manager-friends also go a long way, especially for third-party dealers. ako naman kasi, dahil nga malapit lang, for most part, I tend to take it for granted. but I gotta agree, iba talaga yung concept nila ng pagbenta dyan---if they can sell as many pairs as close to the original retail price as possible (for max profit), they'll do it even if it means having a boatload of the stocks rotting somewhere. this has gotta change though dahil kikita din naman sila bigtime since the production cost for the shoe is pretty cheap.
