just managed to overclock the system. sempron 2200+ actually runs at 1.49GHz (multiplier locked to 9 and clock speed at 166MHz). i tried a higher clock speed at 180MHz (so, thats 180 times 9 = 1.62 GHz) na ang takbo nya. stock pa ang heatsink ang fan kaya di ko muna tinaasan pa. pag napalitan ko n ang cooler saka ko i try mag 1.9GHz (which is the highest reported overclock speed of a sempron 2200+ accdg to posts at forums.amd.com)

Athlon 64 last year pa. Opteron don't know kung nabilbili ng retail. Usually binibili yan kasama na sa server.

Try the coolers from thermalright, they are the best. I'm still waiting for my AthlonXP 3000+ (2.1Ghz @400fsb)

 

If I overclock this It can run at the same level as the newer Athlon64 line. However, I need an ABIT board (NF7-S2) anybody here knows a local retailer for Abit boards?

Opteron is cheap this days, especially for the 1 series (cheaper than the 64s). It is the cost of the RAM that put me into bankcruptcy.

A64s available in the Philippines. Opteron, the nearest is from Singapore (a PPC member told me). But you can have some computer shops to get Opteron for you though they will put extra charges.
