Back To The 70's

On a sad note, both Ric Jason and the actor who played Little John are no longer around.

Ric Jason committed suicide about 3 or 5 years ago to end a lingering illness while the guy who played Little John (sorry but I can't recall his name) succumbed to cancer years ago.

Their password: check mate king two, this is ______, over! (fill in the blank kasi di ko rin alam sagot) hehehe. parati nilang ginagamit ito when they are asking for reinforcements. Too bad Vic Morrow died in a freak accident together with 2 children while filming a clip.

After Combat.....wait naman namin yung Batman cartoons then the Green Hornet featuring the then unknown Bruce Lee.

CHECKMATE, KING-2 THIS IS KNIGHT SIX, OVER...

Actually most of the stores in Ayala Center were 2 or more floors with a basement: these were Goldcrest, Bricktown, Quad, Syvels, SM, Rustan's, Alemars, etc. (forgot the names of the other buildings that's part of Glorietta 4 now).

My favorite daytime dating place then in Makati was the Quad. We watched movies then eat Banana Split or Peach melba at the Magnolia Ice Cream Parlor on the ground level or buy Pizza in Greenwich or eat native merienda in Rustan's or eat spaghetti in Makati Supermart or if she likes Chinese food, we walk to Kowloon or Ling Nam.

We're tambay Wherelse although we "make dayo" (70's na 70s :D ) to other discos mentioned by SBM.

I didn't go on dinner dates except on parties or somebody else's treat. Wala pang datung. My favorite after dinner dates places then were the hotel lounges like the Alibi Bar, Siete Pecados, Calesa bar and Cusco bar among others. Afterwards, we danced in the discos and later on to my homebase Wherelse for the swing showdown.

Back to the 70s with Voyage.

Souvenirs by Voyage was one of the favorite swing pieces back then together with Disco Lullaby by Mystique. Storm, Bods, shall we schedule an EB next week?

The song was My Sweet Lady by John Denver. It was from the Movie/TV series Sunshine about a young widower taking care of a child after his wife died of cancer. The narration includes "who will clean the toilet... God you're and idiot".

Songs include Sunshine of my shoulders, My Sweet Lady and Mr. Bojango

Pards, did you know that Andrea True was a porn star back in the mid-70s before she turned singer? She was in a porn movie called "The Seduction of Lyn Carter" where she played the title character.

Second hand info lang ito. :P

The song "Steal my sunshine", if you heard it, and as performed by the group Lena, sounds like More, more, more. The group paid tribute to Andrea True and even featured her on the MTV (cameo appearance). Marami na talagang nagre-remake ng 70s and 80s songs.

Yes, when that song was first played on the old DZBM (la pang FM before), the dj Charlie Tuna (aka Danny Samonte-the composer of 20 Minutes Before Take-off) made the point. It was also used as background music in the rcently concluded Sex in the City

I've been meaning to have these 70's porno flicks pero I dont know where to find them. Para sa akin mas magaganda pa yung mga x-rated nuon. Deep Throat, Behind the Green Door, the Taboo series, all those Traci Lords ficks, the Debbie series, etc..
