letsfahqnow
you haven't considered the tax, and shipping.. and the pain in the ass if your laptop is broken and dont know where have it fix for the warranty.. yes its cheaper, but it depends if you wanna take the higher risk or the lower risk and to straight things out, there are no Dell laptop's that are made in US.. these are manufactured from our neighbor's like Taiwan and China.. I guess you're right!!! and no Dell service center here in the Philippines.. This time I guess you're very wrong!!! here's the link bro. the guy is a techie at DELLhttp://manilatonight.com/index.php?showuser=97163 so essentially you are not buying a US made laptop, these laptops are no different from other laptops sold here.. jenrich27
Sony is definitely a no-no for me :thumbsdownsmiley: ; there's no IMB brand (maybe an IBM? ); I'm an ASUS-user and I have no qualms about it. :hypocritesmiley: Acer?... Hmmm, seems ok (maybe even better than Sony. ) I think HP is better than the rest in your list price-wise and spec-wise. Quote Link to comment

Or do I have ot buy a spereate chip or something? How much would it cost then? It it wise to get a 1.7 Ghz or Pentium M processor Laptop? Whats sa good processor? Sulit ba if kukunin daw ko ung mga bagong dual core proc for Laptops? Could you recommend any good brands and/or models? And saan meron? I plan to have this for keeps to use sa work. Mahal kasi mga parts ng laptop eh kaya Ayoko naman ung masisira agad..Thanks just retired my compaq presario recently...pero linalabas ko pa rin from time to time if my kids are hogging the desktop.best processor to get if you really want to go wireless is intel centrino....built in na yung wireless adapter so di mo na kailangan to buy a seperate wireless adapter if you plan to make a home network.. for gaming and downloads....best choice pa rin ang desktop....twice ako nagpalit ng HD ng laptop..di nakayanan mga downloads ko ng porn dun sa free stuff thread...he he he Quote Link to comment
Kurtsky Keigee
If gusto ko mag wifi pano setup nun kung sakali?Punta lang ako wifi hotspot ok na? Ano ba mga laptop na pde wifi lahat ba?Meron bang DSL na pde sa laptop? Quote Link to comment
Don Carleone
1) If gusto ko mag wifi pano setup nun kung sakali?u need to have a wifi card, and a wireless router.. so the connection is wall jack to modem to wireless router then wirlessly to ur computer.. 2)Punta lang ako wifi hotspot ok na? there are hotspots that u need to pay for, like airborne access, and there are some open hotspots wherin u just need to ask for the password to have access.. 3)Ano ba mga laptop na pde wifi lahat ba?not all, check the specs if it has a built in wifi card.. 4)Meron bang DSL na pde sa laptop?laptops and desktops are the same.. as long as u have the appropriate hardware, u can have internet access.. Mahal kasi mga parts ng laptop eh kaya Ayoko naman ung masisira agad..Thanks depends on wat game u play.. if its just DOTA, u dnt need a video card.. pde na built in.. also, if u download a lot, 40 gig is not enuf.. 80pde pa.. tho u can just have 40gb, and just burn everything u download.. memory i suggest 1 gb.. for processor i suggest centrino, core duo, or core 2 duo of u have the budget.. best processors on the market right now.. WLAN is wireless local area network.. LAN is just local area network.. so if u want 2 wifi, u need WLAN.. u can buy a separate WLAN card for u laptop, but its much MUCH better if its built in..no idea sa cost.. sorry.. pentium M is decent.. centrino is better.. best is dual core.. core 2 duo even.. ofcrse, pricey.. depends on ur budget, and depends how long u plan to use ur laptop before buying a new one.. coooliced
Go for an entry level Asus notebook. It cost less than 40k then upgrade the ram to 1G. It will coss less than 50k then you have 2 years international warranty. Quote Link to comment
