Justin Nicholas
What I mean by metalheads is that you listen to heavy metal music and its various permutations (traditional, black, death, thrash, speed, power, stoner, industrial, goth, grind). Nu-metal (or mallcore. i.e. Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park) is not included since it's not really metal, just whiny, lame rock. I'm referring to real, proud and loud, bonafide metal bands such as: IRON MAIDEN, BLACK SABBATH, MEGADETH, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, ANTHRAX, old-METALLICA, old-SEPULTURA, PANTERA, IN FLAMES, CARCASS, NAPALM DEATH, EMPEROR, DARKTHRONE, IMMORTAL, AT THE GATES, KREATOR, MORBID ANGEL, DEATH, DEICIDE and many others. So are there any here? yes pare, Not only metal but old rock as well..... I always listen to:Cradle of filth Children of BodomMegadeth (only their old albums)MetallicaJudas PriestGuns 'n' RosesKISS!MotorheadVan halenScorpionsMotley CrueStone temple PilotsVelvet revolver (old GNR plus STP) i got nothing against nu-metal/nu-rock but I dont seem to appreciate their style. Bambino
Yoroshiku! Am a J-rock guitarist so I listen to J-rock music (gotta admit those japs have killer riffs). Great music IIMSSM (If I May Say So Myself). But I just can't deny that most of my early music influences were credited to Western metal music. Am a big fan of Progressive, Black, Power and Death metal. Most of 'em are old school metal but there are a few new bands that still have the edge in defining the true essence of Metal. Here are a few that I believe got me to where I am right now: Iron Maiden, Manowar, Queensrÿche, Dio, Morbid Angel, Athiest, Illogicist (one the newbies), Dream Theater, Mortification, Sympathy, Slechtvalk, Horde (classic Unblack Metal album of all time), Cradle of Filth, Anthrax (Joey era), Slayer (early Lombardo era), and Danzig.
