Here Or There?

Recommended Posts

There is no place like home, di ba? pero look at what is happening now sa pinas, kanya kanya na, walang ng pagkakaisa, except na lang kung may mga tragedy just like recently, pero hinding hindi pa rin nawawala ang politika pagdating sa mga bagay na yan, kapag may tumulong ng politician or any prominent na tao kailangan pang ilabas sa TV, kelangan pang i-annouce sa buong pilipinas ang ginawa nya and then expect that person to run in the coming election... my point is, kung gusot talaga ng tao na tumulong sa kapwa nya, hindi dapat ipinagsisigawan, gawin na lang ng kusa at buong puso, tumulong kung gustong tumulong at hindi para lang makilala at pagdating ng araw ay babawiin lahat ng ginawa nya....

for me that is one reason why I don't want to live here in the philippines, I want to bring my family sa Australia, and then pagaaralin ko ang anak ko... magiipon and then bili ng bahay at lupa sa province namin sa bicol and stay there for good...

hopefully sana sa panahon na yon eh medyo maayos na ang government natin....

just my .02

Currently residing in the USA ... but and this is a big BUT ... I would rather be living in the Philippines, IF I have the opportunity to make a living there, which unfortunately for a computer specialist like me, is not possible at the moment. The money is definitely better in the USA, as compared to the Philippines, if you are a working man. If you are in business and generate around $1500-2000/mo in the Philippines, you have much better quality of life (especially good food) in the Philippines. That's why I am trying my hardest to find opportunities to be able to stay there for a longer period of time.

Am a permanent resident (PR) of Australia now and I made the decision to apply for it a couple of years back. As my daughter said at the time, "you can always come back to the Philippines...hindi naman aalis dyan!". And, since dual citizenship is now allowed, I can work or live both here and in Australia (and New Zealand).

Am now back here in the Philippines to put up a migration agency for qualified Filipinos who are interested in living and working in Australia and plan to be spending time in both countries.

As for my kids (of course as a parent they are my primary concern!), they can now study or work in Australia/New Zealand if they want. My move to get a PRvisa simply allows them that choice - a choice I didn't have when I was at their age.
