I completely agree. I have been there eight times in the last ten years, and every visit has been perfect except for one when there was this gross seaweed all over the beach. Getting into the water meant wading through slimy seaweed. Luckily, my resort had a nice pool. Even so, Boracay is still my "go-to" beach destination.
