I completely agree. I have been there eight times in the last ten years, and every visit has been perfect except for one when there was this gross seaweed all over the beach. Getting into the water meant wading through slimy seaweed. Luckily, my resort had a nice pool. Even so, Boracay is still my "go-to" beach destination.

Las Casas was an interesting place to tour. My friends and I were there for an afternoon and overnight until mid-morning the following day. We had a great time. We did not stay in the hotel but opted for one of their restored buildings. The Philippines has nicer places to stay, but it was interesting; it was like sleeping in a movie set. The food, on the other hand, was not great. It was a little pricey but overall a good experience.
