What's So Special About Starbucks?

d ko din alam ano meron sa starbucks. pero sabagay, hindi naman ako coffee drinker.

ewan ko, d naman ako nagmamalinis pero minsan naiisip ko yung perang pinambibili ng mga tao dito sa mga overpriced coffee na ito pwede nang panggastos ng pangkain ng mga "less fortunate," yung mga tipo ng tao na napapanood nyo sa "i-witness," yung mga masaya na kumita lang ng pang instant noodles isang araw.

 

of course, we all deserve to pamper ourselves lalo na't pinagtrabahuhan din naman nila yung mga ginagastos nila dito, dugo at pawis din ang pinuhunan nila para makatikim ng ganito kamahal na kape. pero, sana minsan kung pwede mag save din tayo para sa ibang tao na mas nangangailangan, hindi naman siguro masama kung kahit 1 araw hindi sila bumili ng kape na ito at sa halip ay magbigay sa nangangailangan d ba?

 

anyway, thats just my opinion, madalas ko lang maisip yun pag napapadaan ako sa cafe na tulad ng starbucks.

They serve the coffee in paper cups. It has a burnt taste. You have to line up to place your order and get your order before you can sit. The difference is they're all over the place, and if you must have coffee they're the most convenient place to go to.

I guess it's not so much the coffee but the whole experience. Nice and comfortable setting, sosyal crowd (sometimes) and pretty customers (sometimes also). :thumbsupsmiley:

Wala naman kaya lang kalat sa Metro Manila kaya madaling puntahan.

 

Ginagawa ko itong "landmark" at meeting place. Siguradong magkikita kayo ng ka tagpo mo!

i think the taste ? ambience and crowd as well. and ang sarap tumamabay with a caramel frapp in your table...

Certified coffee addict:) and I love the ambiance. Besides, I had the best starbucks experience. That's where my special guy introduced himself to me while j was studying. Too bad the affair had to end... Oh well, the 6 months was worth it:) and I love their planner except this year.

the place and the settings......plus the aroma of freshly brewed coffee

It's like mcdonald's - nothing special on its own but comforting in that you know what to expect. I'm not a big fan of the quality of the coffee, but when I'm on the road its nice to go into a familar place, have a decent ('tho not great) cup of coffee and relax.
