bouncing_boy77
a superbowl title is the only thing missing in peyton manning's illustrious career. gonna be a great match between the colts and the bears in south beach Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
The question is, will the Colts Offensive Line stop the Bears from blitzing their way through Peyton Manning? Special Teams could be a key on Super Bowl Sunday... Quote Link to comment
bouncing_boy77
^^^ yeah, the colts must find a way to protect manning from the bears' blitzes. from what i saw last night, the brian urlacher and the bears have a solid defensive line, they made life miserable for the saints, forcing 4 turnovers. Â i was rooting for the patriots last night, but the colts finally "got thru the hump" and got rid of their arch-rivals. Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
Hell, Tom Brady's luck must run out sooner or later. I mean, come on! Three Super Bowl rings, splits with Bridget Moynahan and now he is reportedly doing the bad thing with Gisele Bundchen! You don't get luckier than that! Urlacher and Ogunleye, plus their cornerbacks are the nemesis. At least the Bears would only worry about Dwight Freeney... Edited January 22, 2007 by clubber_lang Quote Link to comment
renaultmsc
Go Bears! Colts Offense vs. Bears Defense...it should be a good game...  the odds have the colts winning by 7...the Bears are the underdogs again, no one respects the Bears i guess... Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
^ I think it's not disrespecting the Bears... It's more like disrespecting Rex Grossman! If the guy doesn't turnover the ball, the Bears could shuffle their way against Indy... Quote Link to comment
bouncing_boy77
yeah, brady's luck apparently ran out this time. maybe manning can finally get the one thing missing in his career. vegas odds right now favor the colts by seven points. IMO, by gametime, odds wont matter anymore, its the team that wants it more that will win. it should be a good match, offense vs defense Quote Link to comment
Brownman88
Bears all the way.... reminds me of the good olde "fridge" and Mcmahon days!!! Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
Here's hoping that Peyton Manning did not injure himself in the AFC Championship game... Some non-Super Bowl news: Bill Parcells has announced his retirement from coaching in the NFL... That's what one botched FG could do to a coach... bouncing_boy77
^^^ yup. he was clutching his thumb during one of the timeouts last night and was also caught grimacing at one point. people around bill parcells said that he was "too exhausted of all the things that happened during the course of the season", coupled with the early exit of the cowboys during the playoffs. teio
sobrang sentimental sana kung nakapasok ang new orleans sa super bowl...  it would have been AMERICA vs colts... hehehe... 'di bale... sobrang laki ang contribution na ginawa ng saints sa kanilang community... even if they didn't win the big one, they gave the still-reeling city something to cheer for and be proud of... howard_the_duck
If the Colts win, Vinatieri must be Super Bowl MVP Edited January 23, 2007 by howard_the_duck Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
In a few years, if the Saints remain intact, we could see Reggie Bush in the Super Bowl... You're right, teio. The people of New Orleans needed it more than the people of Chicago... Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
Has there been a bigger QB difference than this? Peyton Manning vs Rex Grossman... Well it's more like: Peyton Manning > Rex Grossman Quote Link to comment
mortred
manning would be far ahead of rex... there's no consistency with rex as to his rating...its the chicago's defense that leads them to super bowl. Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
Even with a sore thumb, I'd pick Peyton over the guy who throws off his back foot... Quote Link to comment
encounter_doc
manning would be far ahead of rex... there's no consistency with rex as to his rating...its the chicago's defense that leads them to super bowl. I totally agree that Grosmman's consistency will play a big factor in this game. Who will show up in the SB? Will it be "Good Rex" or "Bad Rex"? Although Manning is consistently better than Grossman, both have not been in the SB. Before last AFC championship game, Manning was considered a playoff bust. But I have to give it to Manning in that game - great performance leading his team from 18 points down (although some say that part of the reason the Pats' defeat was their conservative approach in some plays - un-Bellichick like). howard_the_duck
I hate the Colts and "DA BEARS" but I can't afford to miss this :boo: Quote Link to comment

denimhead
im thinking the bears .. i dont know the spread yet ... but if its the bears +7 or higher .. im definitely picking them.... Quote Link to comment
roaddog z
Bears +7, o/u at 48, as of now. I'm taking Indy, Bears "D" has to find a way to contain Peyton. Quote Link to comment
encounter_doc
My fearless Week 3 predictions Bears at Vikings- if I have to make a pick this early on who will win the SuperBowl, then I would go for the Bears; their defense is superb, plus Grossman is playing much better this season Above was part of my post last September, so I would go with the Bears   ... but who will show up this Sunday? TD-Rex or INT-Rex? Quote Link to comment
encounter_doc
Are there other good food spots (aside from National Sports Grill) where you can watch the Super Bowl? Suggestions would be highly appreciated Quote Link to comment
