hanggang frogs legs pa lang ako. nakaka-ilang lang pag naiisip mo

na palaka yun, otherwise masarap nga!

Way back in the 80s I tried:

 

1) Roast wild pigeon (bato-bato I think was what they were called). Tasty, but a little tough to chew.

2) A kind of fruit bat (kabog). Kinda gamey, wouldn't care to try it again.

 

Both of the above on the prinicple that if you shot it you gots to eat it.

 

Recently:

1) Bayawak from Crocodile Grill.

2) Ostrich also from the same place

3) Antelope Jerky (Gemsbok) courtesy of a friend visiting Africa.

4) Deer shortribs (white tail deer I think) marinaded in a sweetish sauce.

Yum! Yum! Food talk!

 

start natin sa di exotic, pero di ko madalas kainin...

 

1. Lamb... some people like it, i dont.. parang ang panghi ng lasa. Kayo? :sick:

2. Tapang Kalabaw.. Sa Cabalen meron, sarap naman. Tough meat.

3. Tapang Kabayo.. Meron sa Gerry's.. K lang.

4. Tapang Usa.. Sobrang sarap nito pre. Medyo matigas, pero masarap. Huli ako nakakain around 4 yrs ago. May tinitinda sa supermarket.

5. Tapang Baboy Ramo.. try nyo, meron din sa Gerry's.. Pero mas masarap ung galing Nueva Ecija.

 

Sa mga exotic talaga..

1. Camaro.. sarap!

2. Sawa.. Nakakain ako sa Marilao, Bulacan (forgot the name of the resto).. Mabuto.

3. Bayawak.. K lang. Ang natry ko ung sa Gerry's.

4. Palaka.. Natry nyo na ba ung sinampalukang palaka? sarap!

5. Salagubang (Beetle).. :cool: ang sarap nito. Kung may friend kyo from Nueva Ecija tanong nyo kung alam nila kung san nakakakuha... Parang Binagoongan ang lasa.

 

Ang di ko pa natry kainin ay... pagong :sick: & ostrich.

hmm from all that i have tried na rin pala frog legs... sarap, see lasang chicken din yan. bat kaya sila lahat halos lasang chicken. also tried pigeons. yummy but tought meat, true.

 

stuff i wanna try:

1. ostrich meat - i heard we have a farm in the country na and we export the meat

2. tapang baboy ramo - only because these creatures bite, i wanna bite back. hahaha

3. jumping shrimp salad - balita ko matamis daw eh.

 

stuff i wouldn't touch:

1. tapang kabayo - dahil sa black beauty

2. tapang usa - dahil kay bambi

3. dog - dahil kay bantay

 

sorry got a thing about my childhood bedtime stories. hahahahah
