poknat Posted April 21, 2005 Share Posted April 21, 2005 don't know the exact address but it's on gilmore cor santolan...so coming from greenhills take ortigas all the way till it becomes gilmore...on the corner of gilmore and santolan there is a row of shops to your right...it will be pretty near once you cross santolan...there is no bright k-1 light but if you have a sharp eye you will see a tarpolne with wanderlai silva's face...the front windoe will likewise have some gear on display so you won't miss it...if you reach the gate of the townhouses to your right then you've missed it<{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks ron i'll go check it out asap. i'm working out at red corner for this month but i just might shift to krav maga. Noong napanood ko ung match sa ust a jiu jitsu vs judo player nakita ko ung effectiveness ng throw. ung judoka used tomoe nage (stomach throw) pag bagsak sa sahig nung jiu jitsu plakda di na nakalaban ung jiu jitsu player hindi marunong mag falling kaya masama rin ang bagsak na bagok ang ulo sa mat. Even if you know how to fall you'll still get stunned. Pero may grappling din ang judo kaya lang hindi masyado practiced. M16A2 Posted April 21, 2005 Share Posted April 21, 2005 bro, hindi naman nasa martial arts yun eh... nasa sa practitioner din yun kung pano sya mabilis matuto... kahit na anong martial arts effective yun, depende na lang sa tao yun... kahit pinakamagaling na martial arts ang pag-aralan mo pero di mo naman makuha yung technique, wala rin tatalunin ka lang ng ibang martial artists... halimbawa na lang yung match between eddie bravo pero tinalo nya si royler gracie...just my two cents<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I completely agree with you 100%. Siyempre it all boils down to the practitioner heck even a taekwando or kung fu player could defeat a bjj. Anybody could beat anybody. Of course ung judoka na lumaban sa UST trains 6 hours a day or more. Grappling is very effective ung mga joint locks and chokes. I just expressed my opinion on what I feel and think is a good martial art. But the most important thing that you should have when you study a certain martial art is PASSION. Pero siyempre sigurado may nangyari nang mga injury doon kasama sa laro yun, basketball pa nga lang may na injure judo pa. Pero nang ginamit ang uki goshi (hip throw ata ang english term) sa akin ng isang brown belter sa lakas ng tapon niya medyo na bagok ulo ko sa mat. Pero daplis lang. Kaya lang kinabukasan sumakit ang leeg ko hindi ako makatingin sa langit. Kasi nang matapon ako inaangat ko ulo ko para hindi mauntog sa mat kaya lang sa lakas ng tapon nauntog pa rin. Parang finoforce ko ulo ko sa right tapos pumunta pa rin sa left. Kaya pag sapit ng bukas aray ko po Pero masasabi ko pa rin masarap ang feeling matapon ka sa mat sabay tayo ka walang injury. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

Pero kung idol mo si sakuraba mag cross train ka sa jiu jitsu. Dahil ang olympic wrestling walang arm locks and chokes. Puro take downs, pinning techniques and leg locks.
