Also made it to the training team of my university. i used to be a star player in our company's basketball leagues until 3 yrs ago. I remember that i knew all the right moves in my head, but my body just couldnt catch up. When i had an awful game, i thought to myself that i'll do better on the next game. Before you know it, i had 3 successive bad games. And all of this was happening as i was fully aware of my deteriorating skills. It took me a long time to accept that i was over the hill. It kinda hurt... that's why i kinda knew how oscar felt when he got his ass kicked by pacquiao. Anyways, that's why i dont want to get into MMA anymore. If i cant be good at it, then what's the point. I'm into circuit racing now. I guess it's one of the few remaining sports for this phase of my life. Golf could be one too but i just couldnt learn to love it. As for your being single, i guess winning even just one fight in URCC would put you in the radar of many girls. So go for it dude. Setting aside the obvious (i.e., love, family, self-fulfilment, etc), my motivation for doing stuff can be boiled down to 3 things: 1. power2. money3. girls If i cant have any one of the 3, then i dont see the point. I mean, why do it? Again, motherhood statements aside. But if you insist, then i'll give you that. #3 is the easiest to get, especially if you have #'s 1, 2 or both.
