nmtin Posted April 17, 2004 Share Posted April 17, 2004 jiu-jitsu alone cannot be the solution. AN mma practitioner should also be educated in striking, may it be simple boxing or muay thai. _eRon_ Posted May 30, 2004 Share Posted May 30, 2004 napanood ko sa tv lahat ng URCC (Solar sports)..sa URCC 2 or 3 ata..may isang match..ung fighter si Cobra (stand up fighter, more on punches), eh mukha siyang astig, so nakipagpustahan ako sa pinsan ko..tpos kalaban nya nde mukhang astig (grappler) & di nman malaki ung katawan, sbi nung pinsan ko un daw manok nya.. tpos shortly into the match binalian nung grappler si Cobra using an arm bar..grabe ayaw nya mag tap-out & nagpop out ung arm nya sa capsule ng elbow, as in kitang kita.. awang-awa ako habang nagtatawanan kme ng pinsan ko kasi akala nmin astig ung cobra (un pla 5'2" or 5'3" lang pla ata siya), talo tuloy ako sa pustahan..syet.hehehe Quote Link to comment

Ground fighting, personally for me, is only effective in a "one-on-one" combat but might not be very effective against multiple attackers.
