Enchanted Kingdom (Sta. Rosa, Laguna): Theme Park & Family Day Trip

Twenty-five hectares of family programming in Santa Rosa, Laguna define the country's largest and most-established theme park. Enchanted Kingdom, opened October 1995 by Enchanted Kingdom Inc., organises around seven themed zones — Victoria Park, Portobello, Midway Boardwalk, Jungle Outpost, Boulderville, Brooklyn Place, and Spaceport — carrying more than twenty major rides across coaster, family, thrill, kids', and water registers. The Space Shuttle roller coaster remains the country's most-recognised theme park attraction. For affluent Metro Manila families building the school-break big-day-out programme, Enchanted Kingdom is the primary southbound destination — 90 minutes south via SLEX, integrated naturally with the Nuvali corridor's Ayala Malls Solenad and the Anya Resort Tagaytay weekend register.

The Seven Themed Zones

Enchanted Kingdom organises its 25 hectares across seven themed zones, each with its own ride, attraction, and dining programme:

Victoria Park — the Victorian-themed main-gate zone. Grand Carousel centrepiece.

Portobello — the Mediterranean-themed retail and dining zone. The park's principal shopping-and-dining programme.

Midway Boardwalk — the classic-amusement zone. Rio Grande Rapids and Roller Skater coaster.

Jungle Outpost — the tropical-adventure zone. Jungle Log Jam log-flume ride.

Boulderville — the kids' zone. Family-scale rides calibrated for younger children.

Brooklyn Place — the Brooklyn-themed zone. Anchor's Away pirate ship and additional family rides.

Spaceport — the sci-fi zone. The Space Shuttle — the park's marquee inverted coaster — anchors the zone and remains the country's most-recognised single ride.

The Space Shuttle

Since the park's 1995 opening, the Space Shuttle inverted coaster has defined Enchanted Kingdom's brand. The ride crosses 620 metres of track at speeds reaching 75 km/h, delivering the country's most-iconic single theme-park experience.

For affluent Metro Manila regulars planning their child's first "big coaster" experience, the Space Shuttle is often the coming-of-age park attraction.

The Sta. Rosa-Nuvali Weekend Integration

Where Enchanted Kingdom differs from an isolated theme park: the property integrates naturally into the broader Sta. Rosa-Nuvali-Tagaytay affluent weekend circuit.

Ayala Malls Solenad at Nuvali sits 15 minutes east — the recommended lunch or evening dining stop.

Anya Resort Tagaytay sits 45 minutes south — the Small Luxury Hotels of the World property carrying the Niyama Wellness Center. The recommended affluent weekend: Saturday at Enchanted Kingdom, evening at Anya Resort, Sunday at Tagaytay.

The broader Nuvali corridor — the Ayala Land-developed master-planned community carrying premium residential, retail, and dining programmes.

Getting There

Enchanted Kingdom sits at San Lorenzo South, Santa Rosa, Laguna — approximately 90 minutes south of Metro Manila via SLEX.

By car — parking on-site. From Makati or BGC, the drive runs 60-90 minutes depending on Sta. Rosa exit traffic.

By shuttle — some park-partner services operate from Metro Manila.

Recommended routing — SLEX to Sta. Rosa exit, then Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road.

Programme Practicalities

Admission — paid, tiered pricing across day-pass, VIP, and specialty combinations. Peak-season pricing (school breaks, weekends) is higher.

Hours — daily. Weekend hours differ from weekday hours. Peak-season extended hours common.

Recommended visit duration — full day. 8-10 hours for the substantive programme with major rides.

Best paired with — an overnight stay at Anya Resort Tagaytay, The Farm at San Benito at Lipa, or the broader Tagaytay-Laguna-Batangas weekend circuit.
