Duterte's Presidency : Expectations, Controversies, Rants, Etc.

Go over the CPI (Consumer Price Index) of basic goods and food items purchased by the most households.

You'll see that they are within the 2-3% range. The overall inflation , if you factor in the price of sweetened drinks, alcoholic drinks, tobacco products, petroleum products, is about 4%. If you normally don't buy much of these items, the inflation effects on your purchasing power is less, around 2-3 % only. The middle and upper class are more affected, close to 4% for them.

You need to study more about household purchasing choices to be able to make sense about how inflation affects the different sectors of society.

pwede bang ipakita mo ang source mo ng sinasabi mong 2% to 3% na yan for food alone ...eto kasi ang galing sa site ng psa which i already shared to you earlier at eto ang sinasabi:

The annual inflation in the countrys food alone index increased by 5.7 percent in March. It was pegged at 4.8 percent in February and 3.1 percent during the same month a year ago (see Table 7).https://psa.gov.ph/system/files/attachments/itsd/cpi/March%202018%20Consumer%20Price%20Index%20%282012%3D100%29_updated_0.xlsx

And now, the end is near and so I face the final curtain....

President Rodrigo Duterte said he will make sure Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno will be out of the Supreme Court.

“I’m putting you on notice that I’m your enemy and you have to be out of the Supreme Court,” a seething President Duterte said in a press conference in Davao before flying to China on Monday.

“I will see to it and after that, I will request the Congress go into the impeachment right away,” he added.

Why would I spoon feed you? And where did I say that the 2-3% inflation is for food alone?

It's right under your nose. We are using the same reference material.

For the other readers here who understand how to analyze purchasing power vs. inflation, check the inflation rates in tables 3 and 4. Then figure out the "Basket of Goods and Services" the C, D, and E classes would normally purchase. You'll find that for the CDE class, it is lower than the 4.3% average estimated inflation rate. .

Take note, CDE classes are not as much affected by the increase in petroleum products, the sharp rise in sweetened drinks, tobacco, and alcohol as compared to the AB classes. And since the majority of the CDE live in the provinces, many of them supplement their food consumption by crops and vegetables they grow themselves. In fact the greatest portion of their expense budget is not really for food but mostly for their children's education, and for utilities, clothing, and health services.

you don’t spoon feed o wala ka talagang maipakita dahil pauso mo lang yang 2%-3% inflation na sinasabi mo?

sa totoo lang wala namang ganyang datos ang gobyerno na pang class C D E lang. and even if i will play along sa method of coming up with your figures (wherein magiging selective tayo) ano yan simple averaging lang para pumasok sa figures mo?

the fact is sa pagcompute ng core inflation from all the items, food as well as housing, water, electricity already have more or less 50% weight. therefore realistically speaking this would comprise maybe around 70% of expenditures sa total pie (selective). am sure nakakita ka na nun mga pobreng class D & E na iniinterview wherein ayon sa kanila yun kinikita nila pangaraw-araw eh halos sa pagkain lang napupunta at kulang pa. in these cases it could be up to 100% food pa nga.

we may be using the same data as reference but again i will ask you again ano ang naging basehan o logic mo at nakuha mo ang 2%-3% dahil hindi opisyal yang numerong yan at hindi pinapakita yan ng nso. kailang ka pa naging economista o naging miyembro ng nso? wag magpauso para lang maipanalo ang argumento. pero alam ko at ginagawa mo lang trabaho mo. no work no pay eh. but sorry unless kaya mong ipakita ang basehan niyan tulad ng nagagawa ng nso eh wala tayong dapat pagusapan sa mapanlinlang mong numero. napakadali naman kasi magsabi na i don’t spoon feed para makaiwas sa isang bagay na pinagpipilitan pero walang matibay na batayan kung paano na derive.

Economy gusto niyo?

GDP is going up (sana naman kasi over spending na tayo), BUT it's just at par with the past administration. The forecast for GDP will be pretty much the same.

Have you checked the inflation rate? Forecasts? 4 months into 2018 palang and its already obvious. Ano pa kaya in the coming years! JUSKOLORD!

may you show the GDP from the past?

pano mo nasasabi yung over spending.... do you have basis at hand...?

mga dilaw talaga di na maka move-on...

Well... yeah. But even if you just factor in the exchange rate from 2 years ago, malaki-laki na din ang kita around 15%.

And hindi lang naman US dollar ang nilalaro natin. Regionally, humihina talaga ng pesos. hehe. So silver lining sa katangahan ng admin din for me.

WOW 80%. Mukhang panahon pa ni Ramos dollar rate comparison mo. LOL.
