Babae sa Duyan

Iginuhit ko ang isang babaeng di ko alam ang mukha
Nakita ko ngunit hindi ko nakita
Pinagmamasdan ang walang kaanyuan
Salita nyang di ko malimutan

Malimit syang naroon
Pinagmamasdan ang buwan
Mga bulaklak na nasisinagan
Ng liwanag ng kabilugan

Ninais nyang maglaro
Tinig ng mga pagkabigo?
Sining na kanyang alam
May hawig sa kalaliman

Ngunit sya pala ay isang bantay
Isang lagusan isang tulay
Isang Mundong itinatago
Isang mundong mapaglaro

Babaeng nasa duyan
Handog ko sana ay nagustuhan
Pagkat nais ko ang iyong ngiti
Sinag ng buwan sa iyong labi.

"To my dearest fighter"

 

 

 

I've chosen to love you for life

when you asked me to be your wife

although sometimes we are on strife

atleast we dont get to the knives

 

you asked me once why i love you

i wish my love i can construe

so many reasons can add to

but in my heart you got tattooed

 

so many trials we've overcomed

and there'll be so much more to come

but we will never be zero-sum

cause we will always stick like gum

 

I've never met someone like you

who brings the best out of me too

no matter what we're going through

you seem to always know what to do

 

Whenever i cry you help me pull through

always understand my feelings too

like you got all the pqtience to do

the "multi-tasking" matter too

 

these shall all pass and we will soon laugh

about all the problems in the past

cause i know the Lord isnt biassed

He see, and hears us whenever we ask

 

Im proud of you and will always be

your person who will guaranty

to love and support you to the degree

in life, death and eternity

Habang tahimik na nanaghoy,

at unti-unting tinataboy

ng daloy at nakanginginig

sa lamig ng sinumpang ilog

At habang inaanod ka

sa nakabibinging katahimikan

at nakabubulag na kadiliman

tanaw ang tila kulay mais mong hibla

Nakasisilaw na kariktan sa kadiliman

tila nakagapos na kagandahan

iIang saglit lang ay papanaw na rin

ng walang pag-aalinlangan

Isa kang martir ng buong Kristiyano

Sa panahon ng ikatlong siglo

Isa kang matapang na nilalang

I can’t look at you and not get caught

Glance-thieving from afar

And so I look away

 

I can’t look at you and not blush

You color my life with a paint brush

And so I look away

 

I can’t look at you and not tremble in fear

That I will not see what I look to find

A tiny spark, a faint hope of light

With which to guide me home at last

Homeward-bound to your heart

 

And so I look away

Wreckage

Wave after wave after wave

They come crashing at you fiercer than before

A few seconds apart not giving you time to catch your breath

All you can do is hang on and float

And when it washes over you

You know that somehow you'll get out again on the other side

Soaking wet, frantic, dazed

And still hanging on to some piece of a wreckage

That is yourself.

I can hear her voice

Amidst the raging sea

Casting a line

And pulling me

 

She sings of truths

I’ve always known

Buried deep inside

Fragments of my own

 

“Oh, please, my lady,”

I asked this mermaid fair

“Tell me how you know me

“More than I know myself.”

 

“You could not have heard

“The songs you haven’t sung yourself,”

Said Ichiko, daughter of the sea

 

“We write our own songs

“And hear them from others

“So that we could love ourselves

“As much as we love others.”
