Legendary martial arts stars Jackie Chan and Jet Li come together onscreen for the first time ever in director Rob Minkoff's time traveling take on the Monkey king fable that finds an American teen transported back to ancient China after wandering into a pawn shop and discovering the king's fighting stick. Opening Sequence to 'Friday the 13th' Remake Revealed!

 

The new Friday the 13th is going to open with Jason as a legend in the Crystal Lake area. Five kids out in the woods looking for a bunch of weed they planted and stumble upon the deserted Camp Crystal Lake. Sitting around the fire that night, the dweeby one (there's always a dweeby one) tells the legend of Jason Voorhees. After that the Survivor Girl and her boyfriend wander off into the woods, where they find a shitty old cabin. Inside are some clues, like a bed with the name Jason carved in it. An old picture of a girl who looks just like Survivor Girl.

 

And Mama Voorhees' head.

 

Cue Jason. He murderizes the other four kids, and as he grabs Survivor Girl... slam into the opening credits.

Justice League of America:

The cast of Warner Bros.' live-action Justice League of America movie is expected to be unveiled next week, but new reports claim to reveal several actors who have been cast in the George Miller-directed project.

 

Reports regarding the cast says that Adam Brody as The Flash, Common as Green Lantern and Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra's al Ghul played by Ken Watanabe. Reports also says that Scott Porter of "Friday Night Lights" fame will play Superman.

 

 

 

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:

Once again heading the cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are reprising their roles as young wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who are facing new challenges and dangers in the wake of Lord Voldemort’s return. They will be reunited with returning Harry Potter cast members, including Helena Bonham Carter, David Bradley, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Tom Felton, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Natalia Tena, Julie Walters and David Thewlis, as well as Evanna Lynch, Matthew Lewis and Bonnie Wright.

 

Two award-winning actors are joining the film’s all-star cast in their first Harry Potter film. Academy Award winner Jim Broadbent (“Iris,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”) has been set to play Potions Professor Horace Slughorn, who gives Harry an old Potions textbook that had once belonged to the Half-Blood Prince, which proves invaluable to the young wizard. Award-winning actress Helen McCrory (“Becoming Jane,” “The Queen”) will play Narcissa Malfoy, mother to Draco Malfoy and sister to the evil Bellatrix Lestrange.

 

Additionally, several young newcomers will be making their feature film debuts in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” Jessie Cave has won the role of Lavender Brown, who has eyes for Ron Weasley. Nine-year-old Hero Fiennes Tiffin is playing the role of the young Tom Riddle at age 11, while 16-year-old Frank Dillane is playing the teenage Riddle, who is already on the path to becoming the evil Lord Voldemort.

 

 

 

Bond 22:

Fox News reports that Mathieu Amalric is set to play the main villain in the next James Bond film which begins shooting next month. The report also says that Leona Lewis may sing the new theme.

 

 

 

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins

McG ("Charlie's Angels") will direct Warner Bros. Pictures' "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins," the upcoming fourth installment in the popular franchise. "Terminator Salvation" is set in the future and shows off the full-scale war between Skynet and the last of humanity. Shooting is scheduled to begin early next year, based on a script by John Brancato and Michael Ferris that was locked in October. The film is currently aiming for a Summer 2009 release.

The Dark Knight Summary:

 

Wayne Manor is being rebuilt; Bruce Wayne and Alfred are staying in a penthouse suite.

 

· Joker is the main villain. One of his first scenes in the movie is a bank robbery where he and his goons wear clown masks. Joker ends up killing the Bank Manager (played by William Fichtner.)

 

· Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is the new District Attorney. He is possibly dating Rachel Dawes.

 

· Bruce Wayne is up to his playboy millionaire antics. At one point he throws a party on his private yacht for the cast of an Opera, closing the show for the night.

 

· Sal Maroni (Eric Roberts) is the new head of the Falcone family. There are gang wars ensuing the streets of Gotham City including Maroni’s gang, and a gang lead by a man named Gamble (Michael Jai White).

 

· There are Vigilantes, disguising themselves as Batman, patrolling the streets of Gotham. They attempt to break up a confrontation between a Chechen gang and Scarecrow early on in the movie. The Chechens release attack dogs on the Vigilantes, who must be rescued by the Batman.

 

· Dent wants to end the gang wars in Gotham and put an end to organized crime. To mount a case against Maroni he needs to bring an extradited accountant from Hong Kong named Lau (Chin Han), who has connections with Maroni to Gotham. Batman travels to Hong Kong (as Bruce Wayne) with Lucius Fox in order to bring Lau to Gotham.

 

· The Joker is somehow approached by the mobs entreating him to cause chaos in Gotham, distracting the cops and Dent from their wars.

 

· The Joker does indeed cause chaos in Gotham City. He (in no particular order) kills cops, blows up a hospital (while dressed up as a female nurse), and commits other actions causing a general state of fear in the city.

 

· At some point, Harvey Dent announces that he is Batman at a press conference.

 

· Bruce Wayne throws a party for Harvey Dent at his penthouse suite. The Joker and his goons crash it, trying to k*ll Dent. Batman intervenes, but the Joker ends up kidnapping Rachel, dancing with her at knife point.

 

· Reese (Joshua Harto), a disgruntled Wayne Enterprises employee, breaks into the applied sciences sector of Wayne Enterprises and somehow discovers Batman’s true identity. He gives this information to a reporter/radio/talk show host named Mike Engel (Anthony Michael Hall), who announces he will reveal the identity on his evening program. Not to be out of the limelight, Joker makes a bomb threat to the TV station, causing the program to be cancelled. Lucius Fox somehow blackmails Reese into not revealing the identity to anyone else.

 

· Tired of all the vigilantes running around Gotham, and wanting to find the real Batman, Joker kidnaps their leader a man named Brian Douglas, and hangs him from a flag pole outside the mayor’s office with a Joker card pinned into his chest with a knife. On the card it reads, “Will the real Batman please stand up.” Harvey Dent is making a proclamation of a crime-free 18 months in Gotham to the mayor (Nester Carbonell) when the wind blows the dead body into his window.

 

· Batman/Bruce Wayne is struggling with falling into his persona, and juggling both the life of Batman and Bruce Wayne. He is also seen doing more detective work this time around. He also gets a new suit sometime in the movie.

 

· Lt. Gordon (Gary Oldman) fakes his own death. His wife, Barbara (Melinda McGraw) is notified about his “death” by Detective Stephens (Keith Szarabajka).

 

· Joker kills Commissioner Loeb and a female judge. At their funeral, the Joker (disguised as a cop) makes an assassination attempt on the mayor.

 

· At some point, (possibly after the assassination attempt) the Joker and some of his goons are arrested. Batman interrogates the Joker, and ends up beating the snot out of him. The Joker escapes by the use of a bomb planted in the stomach of one of his goons.

 

· Detective Stephens and Detective Ramirez (Monique Curnen) are cops loyal to Harvey Dent.

 

· Officer Berg (Matt Shallenberger) tries to k*ll the Joker, after his wife is killed in the hospital explosion, but fails.

 

· There is a chase scene involving the Bat mobile and the Joker in a semi-truck. Joker ends up destroying the Bat mobile/Tumbler, causing Batman to use his Bat-Cycle.

 

· Eventually Maroni and other gang leaders are rounded up and arrested by Batman, and SWAT squads led by Gordon. Maroni is in a night club with two mistresses (Sarah Jayne Dunn and Kerri Parker) when Batman breaks in and takes him.

 

· Maroni goes on trial, being prosecuted by Harvey Dent. During the trial, he throws acid (that was smuggled to him by a corrupt cop) in Dent’s face, permanently scarring him.

 

· The Joker causes so much chaos in Gotham, and makes a threat forcing all of Gotham to evacuate onto huge barges. The criminals and lower class citizens are on one barge, while the Gotham elite are on the other. Joker announces that there are bombs on both barges. The leaders of Gotham must choose to blow up one of the barges, or he will destroy both. This culminates to a showdown between Joker and Batman.

 

· Dent, now scarred, confronts Maroni. He flips his coin to determine whether to k*ll Maroni or not. The flip determines that Maroni will live for the time being, but his driver is not so lucky.

 

 

· Dent/Two-Face also makes an appearance at a bar, where he kills the cop who supplied Maroni with the acid.

The Batcycle/ Slaughter truck chase leads to Batman firing a missile at the truck, flipping it completely over. Joker gets out of the truck and starts firing a machine gun. The final fight ensues. Batman and Joker literally duke it out in a battle of fisticuffs.

 

When Joker crashes Wayne's party looking for Dent, the Joker slaps around guests and threatens Rachel Dawes. Bruce hides Dent and then comes through a window at the party as Batman.

G.I. Joe:

Sienna Miller is the first official human to join the Stephen Sommers-directed modern war flick based on Hasbro's megapopular action figure line. The British model/actress/sexpot will will portray the film's female lead, described as a raven-haired baroness and sexy femme fatale skilled in espionage as the villain Baroness, the right-hand woman of Cobra Commander. The movie is still planned for a February start (and Aug. 7, 2009 release date). The film is set at Brussels-based GIJOE, an acronym for the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, and revolves around an international co-ed force of operatives who use high-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil org headed by a Scottish arms dealer.

 

 

 

Angels and Demons:

Reports says that Naomi Watts has landed the lead female role in the recently postponed production of Angels and Demons, which was supposed to begin filming early 2008, but the writers strike put a hitch in the giddy up. The film is something of a prequel story to The Da Vinci Code and Tom Hanks will return as Robert Langdon as he gets wrapped up in an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati.

 

 

 

G-Force:

Nicolas Cage, Steve Buscemi and Tracy Morgan will be three of the lead voices in "G-Force," for Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Bill Nighy and Will Arnett also have joined the ranks of the human actors in the live-action/CG film, which marks the directorial debut of Oscar-winning visual effects innovator Hoyt Yeatman. The story follows a group of ultra-intelligent animal commandoes who work for a government agency trying to prevent an evil billionaire from taking over the world. Cage will play Speckles, a mole; Buscemi will portray Bucky, a hamster; and Morgan will voice Blaster, a guinea pig. Nighy will portray an industrialist, and Arnett will play an FBI agent. Live-action leads also include Zach Galifianakis, Kelli Garner, Gabriel Casseus and Jack Conley.

 

 

 

Star Trek XI:

Ben Cross ("Chariots of Fire," "First Knight") has been cast as Sarek, the Vulcan father of Spock in the upcoming "Star Trek" feature film. Cross will be paired with Winona Ryder, portraying Spock's human mother Amanda Grayson. The young Spock will be played by Zachary Quinto. The film, currently in production under the direction of J.J. Abrams, is scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2008.

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins

Rumor has it that Christian Bale (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) has been cast as John Connor in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. McG (Charlie's Angels, We Are Marshall) is directing the next installment in the Terminator franchise, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2009. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins will reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-movie span. The film is set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind.

 

 

 

Castlevania:

The plot of the upcoming Rogue Pictures film Castlevania ( adapted from the video game ) has been revealed. It goes like such; It is the year 1691...The land of Transylvania has been at peace for 100 years now, and the peasants and villagers have begun to purge their minds of the memories of the times when the lands were dominated by chaos and shadows, and when the undead walked the earth...However, there are those that remember that the evil Count Dracula returns every 100 years to plague the land, bringing with him the forces of Hell...Thus, one evening, the Prince of Darkness rises and returns to Castlevania, his ancestral home, calling forth his minions to purge the world of human flesh. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The female lead in 20th Century Fox's spin-off X-Men Origins: Wolverine will reportedly be the Silver Fox, who, like Wolverine, was a member of the CIA's mutant covert ops unit called Team X. Fox apparently looked no further than its summer hit, Live Free or Die Hard, to find its Silver Fox. Rumors are flying that hottie Maggie Q will play the role. Silver Fox is a lover of Wolverine who first appeared in Wolverine vol.2 #10, where she is apparently killed by Sabretooth. However, her death is later revealed to be an induced memory of Wolverine's. In actuality, she is a member of "Team X," the best covert ops team the CIA had to offer, and is one of a few female victims of the Weapon X project. Fox betrays Team X and becomes a member of Hydra, a subversive terrorist organization. She is later, finally, killed by Sabretooth under the control of the telepathic Psi-Borg, and Wolverine buries her body outside the cabin they once lived in together.

Rumor has it that the role of Bulma in the new Dragon Ball live-action movie is currently being cast, with Mexican actress Camila Sodi rumoured to have nabbed the part. The story originated from the Mexican press and was subsequently reported by games site Kotaku, although it hasn't yet been confrimed by Twentieth Century Fox. Camila Sodi is a big star in her native Mexico - she had her own music show, has modelled for men's magazines and starred in Gabriel Garcia Bernal's directorial debut Deficit.

Rumor has it that to celebrate Close Encounters of the Third Kind's 30th anniversary, Spielberg has gone into the storage warehouse and dusted off those rubber Extraterrestrial dummies for a cameo appearance in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

 

 

Bolt:

Disney Feature Animation's "Bolt" has been scheduled for a digital 3-D release next Thanksgiving. Previously titled "American Dog," 'Bolt' is the story of a TV star dog named Bolt (John Travolta) who is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York, where he begins a cross-country journey through the real world. Chris Williams directs the picture which is set for a November 26th 2008 opening, by which time there are expected to be around 1,200 to 1,500 potential 3-D screens in place.

Shutter (remake):

Today 20th Century Fox announced a March 21, 2008 release date for Shutter, a remake of one of the best Asian horror films. The original, one of the highest-grossing films in Thai history, follows a young photog and his girlfriend who find mysterious shadows in his photographs that may be tied to their involvement in a hit-and-run accident. Justice League of America:

Rumor has it that supermodel Megan Gale will be playing the Amazon Princess, Wonder Woman, and that Arnie Hammer will take the role of Batman.

 

Arnie Hammer is an imposing 6' 5" tall young man who has previously been seen on Desperate Housewives and Veronica Mars. He's a young looking guy, but his height and strong jaw might work perfectly beneath the Batman's cape and cowl.

 

Megan Gale is a well-known supermodel in Australia, and previously appeared in the film Stealth as Dr. Orbit's secretary. She certainly has the right look for the part of Wonder Woman, though it remains to be seen if she can properly capture the Amazonian Princess's majestic aura.

 

 

 

X-Files 2:

The first installment leaves us with Scully and Mulder on the run. The X-Files 2 picks up in a new location with mostly new characters. It begins by introducing chemically imbalanced Dr. Donarra. His official duty is "working hard to prevent children with non-survivable birth defects from being born". In his spare time, the good doctor dabbles in alien organs and keeps fetuses suspended in jars. His odd secretary (name unknown) alludes to Donarra's Dr. Jekyll persuasions by speaking about herself in the third person and being dependent on his prescribed "medicine."

 

The next turn in the film takes place at a travel agency, where an alien-believer has taken many hostages. Agents Darby, Plummer and Winlock, who are heading the hostage crisis, agree to grant him and a Dr. Schwartz safe passage to the site of an alien abduction. 20th Century Fox will release The X-Files 2 July 25, 2008.

 

 

 

The Factory:

John Cusack has signed to star in The Factory. In the psychological thriller, Cusack will play an obsessed cop who, with his partner, is on the trail of a serial killer prowling the streets of Buffalo. When his teenage daughter disappears, the cop drops any professional restraint and goes all-out to get the killer. Morgan O'Neill, a winner of the Australian version of the "Project Greenlight" reality show, will direct from a script he co-wrote with Australian actor Paul Leyden. Shooting is scheduled to begin in January.

 

 

 

Quarantined:

Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers Wilensky (Columbus Short) and McCreedy (Andrew Fiscella) already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. Unbeknownst to them, a woman has contracted a rare strain of rabies. When they try to leave the building with those injured from a wild attack by the infected woman, they find that they’ve been locked in. Indeed, there are police, SWAT and CDC crews securing the building. But phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those quarantined inside.

 

 

 

Cloverfield:

Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.

Justice League of America:

Rumor has it that Zoe Kazan (In the Valley of Elah) has joined the cast in the role of Iris Allen. Iris Allen was the wife of the second Flash, Barry Allen, and aunt to Wally West, who later became the third man to take the title of Flash. Justice League of America is rumored to begin with the funeral of Barry Allen, giving Kazan an opportunity to flex her acting muscles early on in the film.

 

Kazan joins Scott Porter (Superman), Adam Brody (The Flash - Wally West), Common (Green Lantern), Arnie Hammer (Batman), Megan Gale (Wonder Woman) and Teresa Palmer (Talia Al-Ghul) in the George Miller-directed Justice League of America. The film is set for a 2010 release date.
