darksoulriver
the Top 8 would be possible the same team last season imo Lakers management should had anticipated this scenario! another loss 2015-2016 season anyway im still rooting for Clarkson Quote Link to comment

He is already 37 y/o, very fragile when it comes to injuries. Might as well let Clarkson and Russell run the offense more and make Kobe a spot up shooter Quote Link to comment

holygrail_24
Russell is young but raw. Don't expect him to put up solid numbers instantly. Clarkson is slowling showing his potential though. Even if im a die hard laker fan the number 8 spot in the west is really a tough climb even if kobe is healthy. Wild wild west indeed Edited August 7, 2015 by holygrail_24 Quote Link to comment

rooster69ph
I think it would be important for the lakers to develop their young players this year and to be able to showcase their potential in order to entice stars to consider signing with then come summer. Quote Link to comment
Guiness
If they make the 8th seed. I would think they are in the right direction Quote Link to comment

Phil Jackson says Kobe Bryant might leave Lakers after this seasonBy James Herbert | NBA writerSeptember 25, 2015 11:03 am ET New York Knicks president Phil Jackson said at media day on Friday that he doesn't think Kobe Bryant would be done with basketball after this season ... but the future Hall of Famer could be done with the Los Angeles Lakers then. This is why Jackson's media sessions are the best. He always says something like this, even when it doesn't seem like it's his place. We don't know how serious he was being here, but we do know that Bryant and the Lakers will have to answer questions about the possibility of him ending his career elsewhere now.Bryant is 37 years old, heading into his 20th season and in the last year his controversial $48.5 million contract extension. He said in August that he could conceivably see himself playing in Italy or China before hanging it up.There was also a far-fetched rumor that Bryant could end up joining Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant to form a super-team in New York. Jackson couldn't possibly be trying to add fuel to that fire, though, could he? Edited September 25, 2015 by hahnz Quote Link to comment
