Once lang nanalo ang golden state? Doesnt mean shifting to guards na... Remember basketball is still a big mans game...until the GSW wins another championship using small ball lineup..the lakers should go for bigs...russel will be a jason kidd with range....the most he will be a russel westbrook with a higher statline in assists...if the lakers are lucky hed develop into the MVP steve nash....okafor however would be a duncan/blake griifin...if the lakers are lucky hed develop into an olajuwon...then coupled with aldridge/love/monroe...wed be looking at another lakers dynasty.... Lakers didn't draft Kobe Bryant Yup they are aiming for big in free agency that will make a difference in the up coming season. Great foundation with Kobe Bryant as the veteran.Then young guys Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle then D'Angelo Russell.Signing either Deandre Jordan or LaMarcus Aldridge will make the Lakers a championship contender again. Thus while officially it was still the hornets who drafted Kobe, i personally consider that he was the lakers "draft choice" since the hornets were merely acting on their behalf. I guess at this point in his career, Kobe should let the potential recruits feel that he's ready to step back and let them lead this team. They can ... in fact the Lakers according to reports have called "to show interest". These 2nd tier free agents know that they need to wait since more often or not teams with cap space focus on the top FA first. If they fail to attract their FA priority, then that's the time they go into serious negotiation with them. The same thing happened to Hill with the Lakers last year. Quote Link to comment

Would have been better if they drafted okafor...and looked for PG/SG thru free agency instead...There will be no Greg Monroe for the lakers.
