CDR-King Comments, Product Reviews, etc

Hit and miss products. I think that's why they can sell it so cheap is because they make use of us, customers, as their QA. Besides it's sometimes cheaper to just get a new one that go through the process of replacement/repair/return, and I am sure they are counting on that. Who knows if they are buying a bad batch because of the high rejection rate, relabel them, and have the customers do the QA. :D

Speaking of external hard drives, their items are considerably more expensive than the ones in Gilmore. For example, a 320gb external HD from them can cost around 3.3k - 4k+, while the market price of this item in most shops in Gilmore are below 3k.

trusting your backup data to unknown brands of hd is a no-no for me.

All the HDMI cables i have bought from cdrking have conked out in a couple of months use. HDMI from cdrking = no good/Don't buy

So far yung ecomax rechargeable batteries ko have lasted a long time.

Last week I purchased from CDR-King an HDMI Cable to use for my recently-bought 23" LED TV. I hope that it will last at least a year for me unlike the keyboard, mouse and speakers I bought from them that was busted for only 4 1/2 months of moderate use.

I can't imagine how an HDMI cable could malfunction. It's just a cable with no moving parts, no electronics... unless it's plugged and unplugged.

I have a CDR king wireless router that's been on for 4 years straight. The black one. 3 lan cables are physically connected to it and several wireless devices also.

All my hard disk enclosures, 5 of them are still functioning. They are only used for backing up and then stored for a few months.

I have an 8G thumb drive, the cheapest type. 4 months and its reading errors already.

I bought a wireless security camera labeled with 20 meters night vision. It couldn't see beyond 5 meters. I returned it and got a refund.

OFF TOPIC:

this is my personal experience with outlets and cables -- some ultra cheap outlets and cables are maybe low in copper percentage (composition). that's why my house guests (especially electrical engineers) are often dumbfounded whenever i show them my made-in-china outlet. my nokia cellphone charges whenever i plug its charger there but not my daughter's picky sony ericcson charger. the latter however charges without problem in an eagle-brand outlet. believe it or not. i suspect the contacts are not as good conductor as they should be.

as for the cables, maybe the same reason applies. no wonder almost ALL myphone users buy a second charger after a few months: the charger that comes with the box are defective within a couple of months use, KAHIT ANONG INGAT ANG GAWIN MO SA CHARGER. i should know, many of my employees bought myphone and they got the same bad experience. not to mention myphone's bad 1-week-only warranty for their chargers! i was also a victim of myphone.
