God's moral code

Look, yang "likas" na yan ang dahilan kung bakit ang mga serial killers can justify their own inhumanity -- dahil "likas" daw sa kanila yung ganuong gawain. TAMA BA YUN o MALI?

At any rate, I don't think anyone in his right mind would buy your "MORAL CODE" (if I can even call it that). Haynaku, talo ka pa nang cartoon character na si Shishio. I might not agree with his moral code, but at least, he has ONE. And he is definite with it. And to some degree, it is logical. Hindi yung hedging and confused "moral code".

BTW, let me illustrate what a moral code is for you (so that even you would understand). If you watch Samurai X (yes the cartoon), Kenshin Himura's (Batusai) moral code is "The strong shall protect the weak". His arch nemesis, Shishio's, however, moral code is "Only the strong survive". Kaya merong clash/conflict yung dalawa, kasi different ang moral codes nila. Hindi yung "depende". A moral code is "DEFINITE". Kaya nga MORAL CODE E. Yan ang guide mo to decided whether something right or wrong. The CATHOLIC CHURCH, for example, is VERY DEFINITE with their guidelines (based on their moral code). ABORTION IS WRONG. Hindi "DEPENDE". Definitely "WRONG'.

 

Kung "DEPENDE" rin lang naman, mabuti pang sabihing "WALA" na lang.

Well, it's plain and simple as anyone can see. In essence, your moral code is anything that is against God is "TRUE". Great. That's perfect. Anything that might support the God contention, as far as your moral code goes, is wrong.

 

Of what use is such a moral code? Hmmmm... nothing...

 

Look, if you are really an ATHEIST, like you have always pronounced yourself to be, your moral code should not be hinged upon (though as the counter to) on something that does not exist. You are the "ANTI" of something that does not exist? This is laughable. That you are so against God, only goes to show that you "BELIEVE" in God, only that you have this emotional axe to grind against God. And that begs the question -- why?

Six months since I last posted here. Nothing substantial came from the atheists side during that time. If we are to sum up their moral code, it is the same moral code given by the God that does not exist (according to them). Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

If there is truly a god, like the one in the bible, then every moral code he gave, he gives or will ever give will always be relevant.

If he tells you to love your neighbor, then that is moral. If he tells you to commit genocide in his name, then that is also moral because it came from the supreme authority on morality.

 

The true question is whether we as humans, should obey the command that we think are immoral yet came from the authority on morality?

Though objectively, committing genocide in the name of god is moral since the command came from him, we as humans still find killing others morally wrong.

Should we refuse killing in the name of god at the expense of burning in hell forever?

You can not propose that to be the American version of morality as it is founded on this concept/principle, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Klaro naman siguro sa declaration na ito na it is because there is a CREATOR kaya merong inalienable rights ang lahat ng tao, according to the moral code of the US style democracy (which we have modeled our laws after). So your statement na "tanggalin mo lang ang Diyos, yun na ang morality ng tao" is ILLOGICAL. You can not remove that. Yun ang PREMISE e. Bakit merong inalienable rights? You have to explain in your moral code.

 

Yun nga ang tanong ng thread na ito. Ano ang morality without God. You have to be specific. Saan na naka-base yung moral code mo kung walang Creator.

2. Communism Chinese style (atheist) -- what is best for society is what is right. Yan ang premise nila.

 

Ikaw, merong ibang moral code? Ibigay mo dito. Or do you choose the Chinese style of morality? You can not choose the first, otherwise, you will have to accept that meron Creator na nagbigay sa iyo ng unalienable rights. Gets?
