Noynoy,

You see. You hold everyone in the palm of your hand. You hold everyone under your spell. At the NBI, you said you would defy the law as long as moral judgment, truth, and the Filipino people are at your side. In effect, you are now saying that you are above the law. But you didn't hear the yellow media, your senators and congressmen, and your ardent supporters raise a howl of protest. Instead, they applauded you. Now, you can impose martial law or declare a revolutionary government and your supporters will declare you a hero. Sleep well and continue playing your favorite computer game.

Noynoy,

The economy has slowed down due to government underspending, among other reasons. But don't worry. You can run the economy to six feet under the ground and nobody will squawk. Not your yellow media. Not your senators and congressmen. Not your millions of supporters. As long as you continue your drive to lay GMA six feet under the ground, you are safe. You are invincible. Sleep well and continue playing your favorite computer game.

Dear Pnoy,

Where are those who once accused you of being indecisive and weak President ?

Those who write before they check the facts ?...Where are they ?

Shall we put out an ad that says :

"Wanted - A real honest to goodness, poster who will carry the banner of the Opposition" ?

After all, we are a democracy, where the majority rules....

and the nation needs a credible critic of your administration...

hmm the appearance of the last two posts couldn't have been sequenced better. right on.

Dear PNoy,

Just wondering if you're as alarmed as some of us are about the increased activity of our MILF and NPA "brothers." What goes on in that head of yours, behind the inexplicable smile and the wan expression? I worry that there'll be more bombings before the year is through and you're too distracted to even know who to hand our money to.

On the upside, my nickels and dimes are now worth more this week despite all the worrisome financial news abroad.

there should always be an opposition to be the checks and balance of the administration. the majority's position always change from time to time.

many of the posters here dont really have first hand knowledge of the so-called facts. are you sure that what the media is presenting are indeed facts, and not opinions? or, are the so-called facts the "entire" fact/s and not mere emphasized facts?

are you also sure that your interpretation of the law, is the same as the interpretation of other lawyers

his interpretation of the SC decision ?...like for instance, the TRO which he said was 'in effect' when

in fact, it wasnt because the 2nd condition was not complied with...

also, our supreme court has flipped-flopped on its decisions quite a few times...

wouldnt you think that the law is not an exact science ? and the media too ?

Midas Marquez did not interpret the SC decision. He, as the SC spokesman, announced them.

That the TRO is not in effect, is merely a dissenting opinion of Noynoys appointee. The SC decision is in effect.

The SC did not flip flop as you were led to believe by Noynoys propagandists.

The Supreme Court SUSPENDED the decision it has previously made on the case of PAL employees. Suspending a decision is not flip-flopping. If new evidence warrants further deliberation on the matter, then the SC is well within reason to suspend its decision.

dr. lambino's and dr topacio's medical bulletins to the media have been thwarted by real physicians...it took awhile, but the truth came out...

Get ready for another truth… when the case they filed against GMA gets junked because of lack of evidence.

i agree with you about 'checks and balances'...the minority should always be protected... also, about presumption of innocence...

GMA, now in the minority was subjected to curtailment of her constitutional right to travel. You defended Noynoy arguing it was right for him to throw due process out the window in his pursuit of justice. You, a member of the majority, rejoice at her public vilification and humiliation when nothing is proven yet in court. Yet you say the minority should always be protected and one should be presumed innocent. Hypocrisy.

we have been both exposed to the greatest democratic system in the universe...

What democracy are you talking about? Noynoy is weakening our democracy to satisfy his political vindictiveness. Even foreign observers have noticed. But gullible pinoys like you are still blissfully ignorant of whats happening.

the CONSTITUTION is very clear, the SC is the final arbiter in interpreting the law. that is why lawyers are disgusted on how de lima defied the TRO.

it seems that midas marquez is correct, from what i read in the news, the TRO still stands despite claims that one of the requirements was not complied with.

you cannot use the argument of the SC flip=flopping in other issues here. lets wait for the flip-flop before we act. the TRO should have been respected at the time it was ordered being immediately executory.

there is no logic and common sense needed in arriving at the truth. the truth is there with or without logic and common sense. logic and common sense only comes in when you are making your opinion or decision.

as to presumption of innocence, do you think GMA is entitled to it?

Galileo used common sense and logic to conclude that the earth revolves around the sun...he was jailed because the infallible catholic church said that the sun revolves around the earth...in the 16th century, galileo did not have the tools to support his conclusion...what he had was common sense and logic...that was a concrete example of what i was referring to...

in 1986, those who were at EDSA defied the Constitution, our Constitution which starts with the words "We, the Filipino People"....do the words 'of the people, by the people and for the people" ring a bell ? The constitution is also very clear about those words - "We, the sovereign Filipino People" ....and my opinion is, the majority is being subverted by a few gma appointees...

You know, personally, that I believe in the presumption of innocence...that's the reason why we are having this debate...Otherwise, I would not listen to you anymore and just shut up and enjoy being in the majority....What I would like to see is our courts allowing the use of the Garci Tapes as evidence...and not find ways to block it...What I would like to hear are the voices of Gen Gudani and Col Balutan testifying of what really happened during the 2004 elections and NOT the courts upholding the 'executive privilege' excuse of the Arroyo camp, even Neri about the ZTE/NBN deal...You are right about the "truth" being there, the judiciary should allow the truth to come out so the presumed innocent can defend themselves against their accusers...As it is, our courts have let the rich and powerful get away without making them face their accusers by granting TRO's left and right...don't you find it funny that in the US, TRO's are mostly issued for domestic violence cases?...

...wouldnt you want justice to prevail ? Let justice take its natural course and forget about the delaying tactics that the defense lawyers of gma are doing ? We both know that the gov't does NOT have an airtight case against Gloria, and that she should actually go for a speedy trial and NOT do everything in her power to get out of the country...it does not make sense or does it ?

Wouldnt you say it is time our judiciary with (midnight appointee) CJ Corona listen to what "We, the Sovereign Filipino People"...are telling him ?...It's a system of checks and balances, right ?

it does not matter whether or not galileo used common sense and logic to say that the earth revolves around the sun. galileo's logic and common sense did not make the earth revolve around the sun, it was there a long time before that.

even if nobody concludes or discovers that the earth revolves around the sun, that will still exist and be a fact.

again, you dont need common sense and logic to determine the existence of what is factual. in fact, many logical theories were later proven to be not facts.

the voice of the Sovereign Filipino, the Filipinos have created the constitution as the guiding law and principles in dispensing justice and fairness. the voice of the majority is in the constitution, which was ratified in a plebescite/referendum and not in a TV patrol poll. the majority have already decided that the rule of law shall prevail.

now, if there is indeed this "majority" or "sovereign filipino people" think that there rights which should be afforded to GMA that may be dispensed with, then by all means, make them change the constitution or start a revolt to nullify the constitution.

From businessworld online

"After Justice Sereno officially advised Marquez that it was wrong for him to say that the TRO on de Lima's hold departure order against the Arroyos was in full force and effect, he told media that he respected Sereno's opinion, making it appear that the issue was a matter of opinion, when in fact it was the ruling of the court by a vote of 7-6 that the TRO was deemed suspended pending compliance by GMA and her husband with Condition No. 2 of the TRO."

@ Camiar

TRO was suspended pending compliance as per 7-6 vote of SC and NOT a dissenting opinion of Justice Sereno. Marquez made a huge blunder when he announced SC voted 8 - 5 in favor of sustaining the TRO.

Noynoy,

Your detractors have been peddling these lies to make it appear you are an incompetent president:

Our country, under your watch, remains one of the most corrupt in Asia. (Apparently, Transparency International has not heard your "daang matuwid" and "walang korap" slogans.)

Most Filipinos consider themselves poor. (Obviously, SWS conveniently ignored the fact that nearly 80% of Filipinos support you because they think their life will be better under you.)

Our economy grew only by about 3.2%, practically zero after deducting inflation and population growth rate. (Clearly, NSCDB massaged economic data to come up with this statistical chicanery.)

But don't worry. Not one of your multitudes of supporters believes these lies. As long as you continue your campaign to convict GMA, as long as you continue to attack the Supreme Court, no one will give a hoot to these lies. So sleep well and continue your search for your dream girl.

What new evidence? mellow.gif

There were no new evidence filed in Supreme Court.

SC recalled (not suspend) its resolution because of a technicality.

It should have been the high court's special 3rd division and not 2nd division that should have decided on the MR.

Well within reason? I don't think so. Example of SC's incompetence and inefficiency

Dear Noynoy,

In my humble opinion, you should remove the person spearheading the so called "yellow propaganda". Contrary to the statements of your critics here in MTC, the yellow propaganda is a failure. Apparently, no one took notice of the progress of "daang matawid" despite the undeniable proof of improvements based on 2011 corruption index and Fitch upgrading Philippine credit rating from BB to BB+

Fitch based the upgrade on the following factors:

1. The Philippine government's budget deficit for 2011 would stand at 3 percent of the country's gross domestic product, an improvement from the 3.7 percent registered last year.

2. Revenue collection grew 18 percent in the first four months from the same period a year ago.

3. The country's debts stood at 57 percent of its GDP in end-2009, but figure could decline to 50 percent by end-2013.

Fitch upgrade is the fourth positive rating action in 11 months of your administration and yet critics still say "International has not heard your "daang matuwid" and walang korap slogan". Clearly, the person in charge of your propaganda is inept and ineffective.

With regards to the meager 3.2% growth, we are monitoring your promise that you will increase government spending in 2012. It's nice to hear we are saving substantial amount of money but government should spend more on infrastructure and services to fuel the economy and promote growth. It's about time, we reap what we sow!

Ah yes, it was a technicality. Not new evidence. Thanks for the correction.

But still the SC was right to suspend the decision and correct the technical error. Otherwise, the error may be used later on as precedence.

We do not know if SC is using "technical error" as a leeway for reversing its final resolution. For all we know there was no error at all. I cannot blame the general public for perceiving the SC's action as "flip-flopping". Atty. Estilito Mendoza is a cunning lawyer and Lucio Tan is filthy rich, I won't be surprise if he manages to pull a rabbit out of his hat.

You might also want to check the other correction regarding the misinformation you posted on Midas Marquez and SC TRO.
