BrightestStar
what will happen if Manny is defeated by Marquez? Quote Link to comment
abtt
That's only a matter of pride. But if he refuses to fight, then people would lose their respect for him. He must fight! That's true bro, we as fight fans will lose respect for him and his perfect record, that's right now or immediate future.......but what about 20 or 30 years down the line, assuming he still has a perfect record, nobody will remember who he fought or who he didn't fight, everybody will see he has a perfect record just like Rocky Marciano (49-0 if i'm not mistaken), anybody remembers which boxer Rocky fought? That's all the Egomaniac and Narcissist Mayweather is thinking about and that's why he won't fight Manny, even though a big payday is guaranteed. Of course, its just my opinion. Quote Link to comment
abtt
what will happen if Manny is defeated by Marquez? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.......it will be just a lost on his record, he is still the biggest name in boxing right now, boxers will still lining to fight him and get their shot at a big payday. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.......it will be just a lost on his record, he is still the biggest name in boxing right now, boxers will still lining to fight him and get their shot at a big payday. HERE'S WHAT WILL HAPPEN BASED ON THE FOLLOWING SCENARIOS BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ: 1. MAYWEATHER WINS AGAINST ORTIZ VIA KO, MANNY WINS.. still, MP will be no.1 in pound for pound, while FLOYD goes up in the P4P list (up to 3rd). 2. MAYWEATHER LOSS AGAINST ORTIZ, MANNY WINS... still, MP will be no. 1, while FLOYD still below top 10 (he is currently in 12th). 3. MAYWEATHER WINS VIA KO, MANNY LOSS... mayweather goes up to top 3, while SERGIO MARTINEZ will be ranked no.1 4. MAYWEATHER LOSS, MANNY LOSS.... mayweather still below top 10, MP slides down top 2nd or 3rd (current 2nd MARTINEZ, 3rd DONAIRE). 5. MAYWEATHER WINS VIA DECISION, MANNY WINS VIA DECISION.. MP's no.1 spot will be based on his performance. (he may slide down to 2nd). Quote Link to comment
carlitosway_94116
Big costly mistake by Ortiz against Mayweather! Got KO'd in the 4th! As they say in boxing, "Keep your hands up always"! Sheez... Quote Link to comment
makantosapooh
sucker puncher naman si gayweather Quote Link to comment
Za09
floyd will never fight fair he's a disgrace in boxing... Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
Gayweather talaga.. now that was a sucker punch if ever I see one.. Another nail on the coffin of the already dying sports of boxing.. tsk tsk! Kung matuloy kaya ung Pacman - Gayweather tapos ginawa nia un.. Nasaksak cgro sya bago pa man maklabas ng ring.. hahaha.. Quote Link to comment
khilua23
yan ang tactic ni mayweather... PLAY DIRTY AT ALL TIMES... pipikunin niya muna ang kalaban tska niya yayariin sa kadayaan niya.. <_< Quote Link to comment
joseph1
There will always be two ways of looking at the last 30 seconds of the fight. Like Ortiz says, no one is perfect, but damn, I'm one of those who thought they were still in the break. Quote Link to comment
photographer
Both boxers are stupid! 50% stupidity on Ortiz side, two ways: deliberate headbutting and 'ALWAYS KEEP YOUR HANDS UP'. Take a peek at some fights, even when there's break, fighters always have that defensive stance. 100% stupidity of Mayweather..........isa lang.......TRAYDOR! Pacman was never like that during his boxing maturity years. Gayweather will NOT fight Manny, he knows that and sa nakita kong laban ni Gayweather kanina, nawawala na defense niya. No way he can beat Manny. Lastly, Ortiz and Gayweather, parehong bading hahaha. Now.......Gayweather has 7 titles. Manny 8!

So Cortez was in error at that time when he counted out Ortiz. Dapat binigyan niya ng extra time for Ortiz to recuperate. Dapat may rematch but I doubt that. Quote Link to comment
photographer
http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/09/18/floyd-mayweather-larry-merchant-go-toe-to-toe/ hehehe.............. "I don't really think I could have kicked his ass 50 years ago, but I would have tried it," Merchant said. Merchant added that he believed the real reason Mayweather cut the interview short is that he didn't want to face questions about why he has refused to fight Manny Pacquiao, who is widely regarded as the opponent with the best chance to hand Mayweather his first career loss. "What happened? I think Floyd Mayweather knew that the next question was going to be about, Why don't you fight Pacquiao? That's still the question that will linger long after this fight," Merchant said. If nothing else, the exchange between Merchant and Mayweather will bolster Merchant's reputation as a journalist who's not afraid to ask any question -- and bolster Mayweather's reputation as boxing's greatest villain. But there's BIG DIFFERENCE about a legal punch and a SUCKER punch. Unsportsmanlike. Pacman will NOT do that (that is during this maturity time of his career kasi ginagawa rin ni Pacman nuong kabataan niya, bagsak na kalaban, binabanatan pa ng pabaon, pero super bata pa siya nuon. Gigil) Edited September 18, 2011 by photographer Quote Link to comment

thegame08
In that fight, it shows that gayweather isn't as quick as he used to be and how dirty of a boxer he is and of course the opportunist that he is. Surely, Pacquiao watched it and would definitely be wary of him once na matuloy ang laban nila.... Quote Link to comment
