"If we see this referee again in our next game, we will walk out, we'll go home," said an irate Toroman referring to Yuen, who also officiated Smart Gilas' 90-78 win over host Chinese Taipei last night. "This guy is killing us yesterday (Sunday) and he came today (yesterday) again. How many referees you have? 16? And you put this same referee to officiate us? "If this guy steps in, we'll go home because his level of officiating is terrible. I never saw this kind of officiating in my whole life. He doesn't know what is a foul and what is not a foul. khilua23 Posted August 8, 2011 Share Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) magandang balita na in-extend ang program ng smart gilas for another two years.. sana mag pull out na ng application yung nagagamit na smart gilas players (lutz, lassiter, casio, etc).. tapos recruit new members na magagamit... my take for the next two years is to get the most effective, affordable, dependable naturalized player. kung si doughthit na ito, ok lang, pero kung may mas makukuha na defensive specialist mas ok. get slaughter back to the team, and get fajardo then improve them. release na rin ng tnt si japeth tutal kita naman na kahit wala siya sa team highly competitive parin naman sila. recruit 6'1 chris banchero for point spot. tapos recruit pa ng ibang athletic, tall, shooters... para kahit paano makasabay tayo sa height ng ibang bansa. :rolleyes: baka sa mga fil ams na ito may makuha ang team na effective.. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.160797367270256.35871.158350677514925 Edited August 8, 2011 by khilua23 Quote Link to comment

junix Posted August 9, 2011 Share Posted August 9, 2011 Proud na proud pa rin ako sa Gilas. Ang liliit natin tingnan kontra sa kanila pero ang tindi ng fighting spirit. Halatang sineseryoso na tayo ng lahat ng top teams. In fact, ito ang sabi ng coach ng Jordan: "It was a great win for us, I think the Phl team is a team that is getting better and better every year and as Iran found out a couple of days ago, they're not easy to beat anymore. Now is like when you beat the Phl, you're beating a very fast, very skilled good basketball team," he added. Humahanga ang mga kalaban natin sa atin. Next time, tepok sila sa Gilas! What a waste! But let's not blame our players; let's support them instead tough loss indeed...but at least our basketball team is being noticed and finally given respect. Quote Link to comment

Sana may isa tayong Pinoy natural center na kasing galing ni Asi 15 years ago...Hope Slaughter (if he will be reinstated) and Ballesteros bloom/mature into someone like the young Asi I think they're in the right direction going into the Wuhan Asian joust...and with Kelly, Jimmy, and Ranidel being added, they will be formidable.Sana lang mag jell kaagad at consistent ang intensity sa bawat game. At sana hindi lang 2 years but rather here to stay na ang program. kaso kailangan ng additional support mula sa PSC.. sagot na nga ni MVP ang gastos, kahit sana sa mga scouting and additional benefits tumulong sila. at sana hindi harangin ng PBA ang pag recruit ng players sa gilas. Now, gilas players who wants to enter the PBA draft may think twice.. max. salary for rookies in the PBA is 150k, 250k for 2nd year, and 350k for 3rd year onwards.. good strategy by MVP.. TNT is picking 9th in the draft.. wala na masyado gilas players pagdating sa kanila, so wag nalang sila ipa draft, para hindi ibang team makinabang... Quote Link to comment
