Gilas should be in the top 4 among its group (palestine, hongkong, iran, japan, india) in this 2nd round for them to qualify in the top 8 (incl top 4 in the other group). But it would be dangerous to place 3rd or 4th in its group, becoz it would mean facing China and Korea who's expected to be no. 1&2 in the other group. Thus, okay pa rin matalo sa Iran (but better kung manalo) basta talunin nila Japan and India, and Palestine loses to Iran and to Japan/India as well... junix Posted September 27, 2015 Share Posted September 27, 2015 top 4 in each group advances to the quarterfinals. it is a must that gilas finishes 2nd in group "e" (assuming it loses to iran tomorrow). in this scenario, gilas will play the no. 3 in the other group (this could either be qatar, lebanon, jordan or kazakhstan). china and korea should be the top 2 seeds in the other group. if gilas falls to no. 3, the road to rio becomes harder as this would mean facing the koreans or chinese in the quarters. medyo mabigat. gilas should finish no lower than 2nd in order to have a better chance of reaching the semis.
