azraelmd
i think ok na tong team nato but i'm ready to concede na hanggang dito nalang ang gilas just hope they give a good showing against sokor bonus na kung manalo sila... pero mukhang in the long run magiging mas malakas tayo replace asi with douhit(which is a BIG,BIG upgrade) and japeth playing better in the future i think may pagasa tayo considering na maganda showing natin especially with japan... all we have to do muna is solve the big puzzle which is iran(japan was able to beat them!!!) besides i dont think magiimprove pa yun iran the 7 footer they have is not even at par with haddadi anyway just my two cents.... it may become a buck if we win against korea.... Quote Link to comment
peithe
Edited November 22, 2010 by peithe 2 Quote Link to comment

Alam ng lahat na bilog ang bola at alam ng lahat na dehado ang SG since wala si Aguilar at si Mercado. Now that SG won against CT, you're saying laban ng laban. Fair-weathered fan. peithe
^^^ Am surprise to hear na OBVIOUS na ngayon na underdog ang Pinas kontra SOKORS. Ikaw na rin nagsabi kayang talunin ang Iran ngunit tinago lang natin ang laro para sa paghaharap sa finals. That means you should be confident to think that Gilas will defeat all the teams going into the finals in a re-match against Iran. Both Japeth and Sol have been injured since day 1 of the tournament ... Kung sa tingin mo kayang talunin ang Iran (assuming they didn't hold off as what you claim )then hindi dapat underdog ang Pinas sa SOKORS diba. Nothing has changed diba. Am just a REALISTIC FAN of Gilas not really fair weather as you said. Alam ko saan ako lalagay at I don't make excuses pag mali ang punto de vista ko. Anyway, I'm done with you here since you wouldn't be able to show me the thing that you're alleging. Edited November 23, 2010 by eljuego Quote Link to comment
peithe
Just wondering ... bakit nga ba kailangan mag hold off against an opponent if in the first place there is no chance of beating that team? speaking of stressing the obvious from someone thinking along that line 2 Quote Link to comment
crystalyx
Win or lose tommorow against SoKor, Gilas gained huge dividends by playing in the Asian Games a good prep field towards FIBA - Asia. The coaches surely spotted the holes to plug and things to fix with this team, I'm just hoping that Asi, Kelly and Mercado can continue to be Gilas for the FIBA...For tommorow I give SG a darkhorse's chance against SoKor. I think Kelly Williams should stay on board until next year, playing the 3 or 2 position, rather than the 4 spot. Palagay ko talo talaga si Williams sa matchups sa PF position; however, switch him over the 3rd spot, mismatch galore ito for SG. However, Sol Mercado? Meron na silang 3 players playing the same position in Tiu, Baracael and Lassiter. Kung may balak pa silang humugot sa PBA ng isa pang player, he should be a workhorse in the mold of Rudy Hatfield, Rico Meirhofer, or even a Rayniel Hugnatan. Para sa akin, okay na ung guard rotation nila. Although, there is much to be desired (still) from Chris Lutz. If ever they would still consider a PBA reinforcement in the guard spot, I'd choose a Ronald Tubid or Dondon Hontiveros over Mercado. IMHO Baracael, Tiu, Lutz, and Williams, I think should take it upon themselves as the teams' #1 option in offense Quote Link to comment
orionpax
If Marcus Douthit was onboard, the rebounding and defense would have been much better Quote Link to comment
