barnaclejohnson
Manila water crisis is a result of many interrelated causes. Part 2 Water from Angat Dam Supplies 95% of Manila's demand. It goes through Ipo Dam and splits to the two concessionaires: Maynilad (60%) and Manila Water (40%). Angat ipo Lamesa Dams.jpg Manila Water's raw water supply has to pass through tunnels and aqueducts to La Mesa Dam then to Balara. GMA initiated a rehabilitation program to stop 400 to 600 million liters per day leakage and to increase flow capacity. The initial phases were done during her term and was finished during the early part of Noynoy Aquino's term. But succeeding phases were delayed and restarted only during Duterte's term. Awtip2-471x349.jpg Currenly the capacity of the aqueducts are not enough to refill La Mesa Dam to meet Manila Water's demand. New aqueducts have to be built and new alternative sources of raw water e.g. Kaliwa River Dam needs to be developed. The delays in implementation of the new projects during the past 8 years are what is causing the current water crisis. so what is the short term solution and long term solution? Quote Link to comment
camiar
We are treading on thin ice trying to squeeze water from a La Mesa dam. I guess Manila Water is aware of the calculated risk. Quote Link to comment

camiar
^^^ the author says he tells lies so that we can learn the truth. I don't think his style works. The hate he generates from his lies just makes you numb to the truth. Edited March 21, 2019 by camiar Quote Link to comment
kilroy*was*here
Imo he's just talking out both sides of his mouth. He owned up to the video (after an initial denial) but blames politics for breaching his security and spreading the video. Sa akin lang, if he can man up to being the one in the video, might as well man up to the consequences. Had he been caught doing good deeds in secret there would have been no problem. He might be seething because he and everyone know that things cannot go back the way they were. If he still wants to make himself out to be a voice of conscience and civility, dorry dude, that's impossible now. No one held a gun to his head. No one pushed a remote to make him do what he did, and record it too. The guy still thinks highly of himself and his "influence." If it's any consolation to him or his political allies, it's also highly unlikely the incident will lose 8 diretso a single supporter or vote. They didn't do it; he did. The ruling parties won't gain anything by mentioning him, either, just maybe a laugh or two. Quote Link to comment

camiar
Edited May 7, 2019 by camiar Quote Link to comment
camiar
From: UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL with AUDOROY highlights...KAHIT SINO ALAM ITO, ... once you join the "underworld" death is the only exit. KAYA SABIHIN NI PETER JOEMEL "PJ" ADVINCULA NA HE QUIT AND LEFT THE GANG, ASSUMING NA ITO AY ANG CHINESE TRIAD DRUG SYNDICATE, DAHIL GUSTO ATA MAGBAGONG BUHAY ... and just like that, saying adieu and gone. ...hindi ka basta basta tumiwalag sa isang grupo at hindi ka tutugisin nang dating mong kasamahan para ligpitin at patatahimikin.... and for sure, no one is indepensable in this dark world of drug and power, even PETER JOEMEL ADVINCULA is no exception, if ever what he said is really true.... And understanding how these drug syndicates group or cartel work ... do you think, Bikoy would still be alive after he "showed all those documents, the tara, - exposing the workings and operations of the syndicate." AND THAT EXPOSURE WOULD BE OKEY FOR THE TRIAD? I strongly doubt. And Bikoy should be running for his life ... though I do not even think that Bikoy, the character is even real. And then, sa press conference with the IBP ... kung hindi ba naman tanga ang nag prepare nang script na yon, bagkus sabihin ba naman na may mga tao or mga dating kasamahan na nagbibigay nang mga documents sa kanya ... those na sinabi mo sa video serve no purpose at all dahil lahat nang mga iyon ay matagal nang basag ... proven that they were manufactured and fabricated Quote Link to comment
camiar
Rody checkmates Trudeau By TDT -May 18, 2019 12:25 AMfrom the Daily tribune: https://tribune.net.ph/index.php/2019/05/18/rody-checkmates-trudeau/ Du30 recalled the Philippine ambassador to Canada along with the top members of the diplomatic corps over the garbage issue which Canada's Trudeau has been ignoring. If you recall, Trudeau embarrassed Duterte in the past when he blocked the shipment of Bell helicopters the Philippine Air Force bought from them, saying that the helicopters might be used by the Philippine Air Force to violate the Filipino people's human rights during its military missions. Duterte considers Trudeau's action as personal and official insult to the Philippine government. The Philippine government will deny any relation between Canadian garbage and the blocked helicopter sale, but I still believe this is a reprisal to Trudeau's arrogance. tk421
A few months ago, we were discussing about Duterte giving orders to to soldiers and police to perform inhumane acts (like shooting them at their vaginas) on insurgents and alleged crime suspects. Somebody argued and asked me to produce mission orders because he said police will not execute orders without them (that naive punk). Well... a few months later here is what they say about verbal orders: Asked whether the President's verbal order was enough, Albayalde said the PNP also received a directive from the Department of the Interior and Local Government to heed Duterte's order. "In the PNP, especially us, even in the military there are several ways of giving directives and verbal directive is one, binding po yan," There you have it, from the head of PNP himself. https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/07/29/19/national-police-chief-defends-crackdown-on-lotto-gaming Edited July 30, 2019 by tk421 Quote Link to comment

Don't worry, our soldiers have more common sense than you. Quote Link to comment
