Sa US malabo mangyari ito simply because they will have a nightmare dealing with lawsuits malulugi ang gobyerno and Sanofi. Think about the psychological effect nito sa mga magulang at batang nabigyan ng vaccine, after 2 years kapag nagkasakit (esp. high fever) na yung bata iisipin na baka ito yung side effect ng vaccine.

Well... the anti-dengue vaccine campaign has been going on longer in Duterte admin than it was during the last one. If they saw some dangers or anomaly with it, why did they not stop the program?

Pero kung police/military forces nga naman ang usapan, biglang lahat ng past incompetence/abuses (from last admin) mawawala magically, 'no?

Correct me if I'm wrong: Sumimoto was chosen as the maintenance provider... but does it need public bidding or no?

From what i hear sa program ni kabayan parang ayaw ni sumitomo or tinanghihan niya na bumalik to provide maintenance.

 

Sa press release parang govt to govt ang negosasyon wherein si sumitomo supposedly ang magproprovide ng service.

 

Am not sure how this works but parang di nga dadaan sa bidding. Maybe the dds can shed light into this matter

As I know, this was vetted by WHO before it was implemented.

 

For sure there was not a long-term study yet as it was pretty new at the time. There was a WHO guideline (I think) that says that it can be used on populations where there were high prevalence of Dengue for which the PH qualified for.

 

For corruption allegation: if proven, then the guilty party should be punished. This is where an audit comes in.

No recommendation to use Dengvaxia, WHO clarifies

In a statement, WHO said such recommendation was not included in its position paper released in July last year.

"WHO's position on the dengue vaccine was published in July 2016, based on recommendations of the strategic group of experts on immunisation which met and published preliminary advice in mid-April 2016," WHO said.

 

It added, "The WHO position paper did not include a recommendation to countries to introduce the dengue vaccine into their national immunization programs."

So paano yan nun ni launch yun programa sabi ng who country rep yun vaccine effort natin is consistent with the recommendations made by the WHO expert grp. Vs yun sinasabi umano sa position paper later on na lumabas lang nun jul 2016.

 

In other words is it possible it was implemented in good faith by the past admin sans the availability of the WHO position paper? But what abt the duterte admin? Why did they continue the program depite the position paper saying so?

 

Well simple lang yan sa tingin ko...walang problema naman kung sabihin na naging pabaya un past admin. What abt the current admin they are equally liable as well. Sabay na lang ipakulong si du30 at penoy.

The dengue vaccine was implemented during PNoy's time which should not have been in the first place. Health Sec. Garin even suggested not to implement it but PNoy still insisted on it. Period.
