Bolj
Apparantly the idiots keep speculating and making assumptions, there are different intels from the AFP, PNP, DILG etc. Local officials that goes into a single Authority which is in this case the President. Martial Law is a legal remedy provided by the constitution so the state can defend itself. There are intels that are known to the PNP but are not known to the AFP, same as in the case of the DILG and Local Execs. But all those sources goes into a single chokepoint which is the president. Magic Circle
Its hard to measure the extent of success of PREVENTION. You can only notice it in time if you are living in that community that are affected by ML. if it really improved the peace and order. Its the same in drugs, you cannot measure yung future user na naprevent sa community kung napatay na yung pusher sa lugar na yon. haroots2
If most of people in Mindanao prefers that ML be extended, why would people in NCR can say its not good for them? They are the ones experiencing the improvements in their community and it shows from the votes of representatives in Mindanao that they prefer to extend it. camiar
Martial Law brought the style of government that MILF, MNLF, Abu Sayaf, BIFF, and all the spoiled terrorist brats and warring clans in Mindanao can understand and respect - a benevolent iron hand, an authoritarian government. Itong mga ito, they project their power from the muzzle of their guns. Making war and terrorism are the only way of life they know. They neither follow nor respect civilian authority. Martial Law brought peace and order in Mindanao following Marawi war. We should use this opportunity to implement economic progress. Show these armed groups that there's a peaceful alternative way of making a living. Edited January 12, 2019 by camiar Quote Link to comment

haroots2
Another move by CHR to further convince the people na wala silang kwenta, makabira lang sa admin. The Commission on Human rights says the policeman's rights were violated. goo.gl/5z9kkq http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2019/3/7/Guillermo-Eleazar-shame-cop-extortion.html?? Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 7) — Metro Manila police chief Guillermo Eleazar justified his roughhousing of a cop nabbed for robbery extortion, saying that he deserved to be shamed for what he has done.Speaking to CNN Philippines' The Source, Eleazar also refused to apologize to Police Officer Mario Quibete. Eleazar collared and forcibly tilted the head of Quibete in front of media after his arrest."Itong taong ito, [This person,] he doesn't deserve to stay in the PNP (Philippine National Police.) At 'yung panduduro sa kanya, [And my berating him,] he deserved that'," Eleazar said Thursday. He added, "Talagang nakakagigil na rin dahil we've been doing this itong entrapment operation even before. Pinakikikita nga natin na ginagawa natin ngayon para magsilbing babala sa ibang mga pulis."However, Eleazar apologized to the public for his outburst, adding that he would act differently if faced again with the same situation. But the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) said Quibete's rights to dignity and presumption of innocence were violated. camiar
Cop in robbery extortion should not be berated because of Human Rights sensitivity? It would have been better for CHR just to keep mum about it and send Eleazar an official Notice to Explain memo. That way, they will be more effective in doing their job upholding Human rights. camiar
what are your thought on the ongoing manila water crisis? sino ang may kasalanan? ano ang solusyon?Manila water crisis is a result of many interrelated causes. One of the most obvious is La Mesa Dam can no longer replenish itself. 70% of La Mesa Dam Watershed is already encroached by squatters and subdivision developments. Towards the south (bottom center), along Payatas Road, squatters encroached a large swath of the watershed. Towards the north(top center, right side of Quirino highway) high end subdivisions are being built by Ayala and Araneta. It will soon eliminate the forest growth north of La Mesa Dam. camiar
what are your thought on the ongoing manila water crisis? sino ang may kasalanan? ano ang solusyon?Manila water crisis is a result of many interrelated causes. Part 2 Water from Angat Dam Supplies 95% of Manila's demand. It goes through Ipo Dam and splits to the two concessionaires: Maynilad (60%) and Manila Water (40%). Manila Water's raw water supply has to pass through tunnels and aqueducts to La Mesa Dam then to Balara. GMA initiated a rehabilitation program to stop 400 to 600 million liters per day leakage and to increase flow capacity. The initial phases were done during her term and was finished during the early part of Noynoy Aquino's term. But succeeding phases were delayed and restarted only during Duterte's term. Currenly the capacity of the aqueducts are not enough to refill La Mesa Dam to meet Manila Water's demand. New aqueducts have to be built and new alternative sources of raw water e.g. Kaliwa River Dam needs to be developed. The delays in implementation of the new projects during the past 8 years are what is causing the current water crisis. Edited March 16, 2019 by camiar Quote Link to comment

camiar
We are treading on thin ice trying to squeeze water from a La Mesa dam. I guess Manila Water is aware of the calculated risk. Quote Link to comment

kilroy*was*here
Imo he's just talking out both sides of his mouth. He owned up to the video (after an initial denial) but blames politics for breaching his security and spreading the video. Sa akin lang, if he can man up to being the one in the video, might as well man up to the consequences. Had he been caught doing good deeds in secret there would have been no problem. He might be seething because he and everyone know that things cannot go back the way they were. If he still wants to make himself out to be a voice of conscience and civility, dorry dude, that's impossible now. No one held a gun to his head. No one pushed a remote to make him do what he did, and record it too. The guy still thinks highly of himself and his "influence." If it's any consolation to him or his political allies, it's also highly unlikely the incident will lose 8 diretso a single supporter or vote. They didn't do it; he did. The ruling parties won't gain anything by mentioning him, either, just maybe a laugh or two. Quote Link to comment
