Iverson coming to the Grizzlies completes this team. A guy who can bring the ball, commands defense, proven scorer, one-on-one creative operator.

 

Grizzlies are already a complete team the only problem is there defense sucks bigtime.... Memphis should put more effort on defense... The current roster is young with the addition of Thabeet (except Zachy)

 

I never seen AI commands defense even when he was in Phily... then Denver...lastly Detroit... He was hired purely and only to sell tickets... Even the Owner dont believe acquiring AI will change the faith of the Team... ouch!

AI was good at defense when he was in Philly.. he even led the league in steals then..

 

I think OJ will be at the point since he also plays point when he was in college..

Could miss three weeks after an MRI revealed a partial tear in his left hamstring.

 

"My whole thing is to work as hard as I can to try and get back to 100 percent," Iverson said. "I don't want to try and come back too early and have this thing lingering on throughout the whole season."

 

But Grizzy fans still hoping for the quick recovery of the once formidable "The Answer"

sorry, i just find it funny because everyone was talking about a.i.'s probable impact just prior. lol.

memphis lost their first game this season by a whopping 22 big points.

 

imo, the result would've been the same even if a.i. was around.

 

if you have read yahoo sports' column on the game, you feel that some memphis players are forming a defeatist attitude this early on. such was conveyed by randolph: "guys hit shots and we dropped our head. it's the nba. guys are going to hit shots. we’ve just got to keep on playing and play hard for 48 minutes.”

 

but it's hard to think that this sentiment will prevail. i'm sure everything will change once they start winning a few.
