jedimaster
Congrats to ADMU! Truly deserving. On DLSU not accepting 2nd place, I think it's just a case of being caught up in the emotions of the game. Black's wards looks very much intact for next season. If they do get back in the finals, may I suggest that they use "Back In Black" as theme song. Quote Link to comment

tagalinis
congrats to Ateneo for beating the basketball univeristy assuming it is the basketball university baka naman pwedeng ituro niyo rin yung tinatawag na good manners and right conduct at bigyan niyo naman ng kahihiyan ang mga fans ninyo sa school niyo.Di ba pikon ang tawag dun sa dahil lang akala nila biased yung officiating hindi lalabas para kunin yung trophy? cant admit your were bested by the Blue Eagles?yan ang 'win or lose its the school we choose' we will not add to the sadness of our loss by acting like little boys crying in a corner because we lost. we lose we accept and its still the school we choose. thats why we will not embarass the name of our school by showing such behavior. ONE BIG FIGHT FOR THE BLUE AND WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MASARAP TALAGA MAGING ATENISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WIN OR LOSE, ITS THE SCHOOL WE CHOOSE. THAT IS THE ATENEO WAY!!!!!!!!!!! rldelrosario
Instead of taking two steps forward DLSU took another step backwards. Sino ba ung nagsabi one step backward two steps forward. It was ateneo's year so far going 13-1 and sweeping DLSU 4-0 during the season. Yung championship last year hindi naman ako bilib doon. Siempre ang magkalaban ung magkapatid. Hehehe. tommy manotoc.... utex vs toyota... game 4 1980 pba open... we remember.... game 5 toyota displaying championship banner with 16 seconds left... then tuadles (rip) inbound pass to... oooops... glenn macdonald.... overtime.... utex wins... anyway... one big fight for the blue and white... bonfire na!!!! Eddy Syet
Congratulations to the Ateneo Blue Eagles for winning this year's UAAP Basketball Championship! The DLSU Green Archers did not take their trophy in the awarding ceremony?! That sucks! There's no way you can justify that. Every team of course plays to win the championship but all should be man enough to accept that there can only be one. There is nothing shameful about accepting a runner-up trophy especially if you gave it your best effort to win. What is shameful is if you refuse to accept it simply because of the fact that you don't want to accept defeat. That is lack of class... that is lack of respect... that is immaturity and well, "kabadingan." :thumbsdownsmiley: Edited September 26, 2008 by Legionnaire Quote Link to comment

DJTranz
eh kaya naman pala ganun ang players eh yung coach pala tukmol din eh. so he admits he ordered his boys not to appear at the awarding?sumarosep!!!!! me thinks there must be some sanctions for la salle for unsportsmanlike behavior.di ba the uaap is supposed to also teach our youth to know how to accept defeat with your head held up high?yan ang ibig sabihin ng mga atenista pag sinabi namin 'win or lose its the school we choose'matalo man kami. lutuin man ng ref lalabas kami para tanggapin yung 2nd because we did our best but we still ended up 2nd. we have nothing to be ashamed about. if we have an issue with the refs, the awarding is not the venue to display our lack of proper behavior. ONE BIG FIGHT!!!!!!!!!! BLUE EAGLE THE KING!!!!! MASARAP TALAGA MAGING ATENISTA!!!!!!!!! nakaka lungkot na ganun ang behavior ng la salle. bad for the youth who idolize you guys.act like men. not like............ hahahaha tukmol nga hahahaha kung yung argentina nga na defending champs sa olys eh na accept na 3rd place lang sila this yeareh eto pang mga taga dlsu WTF hahahaha parang mga walang breeding hahahaha Quote Link to comment
kanski
guys, guys, ease up on the bashing. you've already won, haven't you? be magnanimous and show some class yourselves. congrats by the way. Quote Link to comment
axlerose100
Hats off to Ateneo, they've dominated La Salle this season. Quote Link to comment
Mike_Lowrey21
Ako kasi personally hindi ako naniniwala sa taunting and trash talking those two things have no place in the basketball court. Talagang yan na ang trademark ng DLSU ever since they rejoined the UAAP. It all started with the UST and DLSU championships way back in 1994. We all know that UST kicked their butts for 3 straight years. Hehehe. That guy doesn't allow trash talking on his team. Pagka nakipagtrash talk ka or you engaged in taunting you would ride the bench the rest of the game. Pumaren should either remove the taunting and trash talking next year. The refs have the benefit of the doubt. Mas malapit sila. But according to the broadcasters talagang nag flash ng dirty sign si Rico. If Pumaren couldn't control the emotions of his team next year magresign na lang sya. Isa pa hindi maganda ung ginawa nilang hindi pag tanggap sa trophy it's a sign of unsportsmanship. MODERATOR tamago Posted September 26, 2008 MODERATOR Share Posted September 26, 2008 According to my bro who covers the games, madumi talaga ang laro ng DLSU. If you watch closely, merong daw mga hidden punches and elbows courtesy of DLSU. Baka kasi ang akala ni Rico, giving the finger is a sign of respect haha Quote Link to comment
