Basing from your posts, di kaya ikaw ang poser na lasalista? You're doing your fellow lasallians a disservice by letting this immature rant to drag on. Whether you accept defeat in this UAAP season or not, the fact is you're team has been dethroned by their arch-rival Ateneo and everyone knows it. If you choose to live in a make-believe world where the greenies reign in perpetual championship bliss, is all up to you. But spare your more mature and genuine lasallians from the humiliation caused by your not-so-well-thought-of philosophy.

It's just a basketball game, if ever you wake up from your make-believe world, you would come to realize that Ateneans and lasallians live and co-exist and at times, even marry each other. So please, don't drag us into your blue and green view of the world (sa basketball lang yun during gametime), because we know better, poser.

GO ATENEO!

ONE BIG FIGHT!

sa tuesday na daw ang bonfire!

I know Ateneo grads who hail from LSGH who are even more la sallian than this Joker.

Parang bigla yata nga collapse yung sports "Program" ng DLSU Alumni Associatio, which usually bankrolls the team build up. I guess they are no match for Ateneo's Manny Pangilinan, who I understand provided the financial muscle to pirate Rabeh Al-Husseini.

From what I heard, Rabeh Al-Husseini decided to attend Ateneo through the advise of his half-brother Carlo Sharma. It seems like Sharma had a falling out with Coach Pumaren after their 2002 defeat to Ateneo. Pumaren blamed Mike Cortez for the debacle dahil nagbenta daw and castigated Cardona as well as Sharma for not playing their hearts out with hints of game-fixing. :)

Hmmm.. possible.. But isn't it also because DLSU and Pumaren have always been known to spawn good guards? While Norman Black bein a big man himself produces better Big Men? I remember Sharma and how he used to play back then in the UAAP, he could've been a monster if Norman Black was his coach (or even any other coach good with Big Men). Kuya Carlo probably advised little brother to play for Norman Black as his training and exposure would be better off with Ateneo than La Salle.

I think Rabeh Al-Hussein went to a big man camp to improve his skills since 3 years in a row he is mediocre thats why i have to admit he really improve a lot. Also ateneo got a lot of HS standouts unlike Lasale they usually get players who can work as a team and train them to be good defenders. Kaya nga naka 5 Championships sunud sunud dati lasale and last year they defeated a much stronger or possibly the best UE team in the history since Caidic and Jawo era.

I still remember the first time I saw Rabeh play and it was against Adamson circa 05, i think. He's come a long way since then, ngayon UAAP MVP na. Having Coach Norman Black as mentor as well as attending the annual summer big man camp in the US has really done wonders to Ateneo's big men ... namely, Doug Kramer, Ford Arao and Al-Husseini. I just hope the winning formula continues with Justin Chua, Nico Salva and Vince Burke (at kung papalarin, pati kay Arvie Bringas). We will have good competition against RP Youth mainstay Torres who will suit up for DLSU and possibly Paredes too (buti na lang si Wright e rine-recruit ng isang Division 1 school kundi patay na kay bigote ito).

Finally, Ateneo can go toe to toe against lasalle in the recruitment wars which was the domain of lasalle since the late eighties. At naungusan pa ang lasalle this year with several blue-chip players taken into the fold. Salamat din sa pagkakatanggal kay Joe Lipa sa UP, kaya ayun, instead of signing up for UP, nag-Ateneo tuloy sina Salva at Burke. Swerte talaga itong season na ito.

Correction lang, naka 4 straight championships ang lasalle years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 before bowing to Ateneo in 2002. Still, 4 straight is nothing to sneeze at, kudos!

Yep I remember those games. In fact nung 1994 championship. That sent a message to Telan and the green archers that they're not gonna get affected by their tactics.

As for Rico. I watched the replay. In fact Jayvee was fronting his man in the corner.

siguro doon ka magpost sa political thread. this is a sports thread. sports for me is just an escape from what's really happening in our country.

Oo naalala ko yan. After they lost to ateneo, a friend of mine na la sallista was saying binenta daw ni Cortez. Cortez is only human.

actually true... saw three admu dlsu games this season sa araneta.... meron talaga mga pushing and tuhod especially sa trap nila... si casio gives an arm and elbow to create space for his jumpers.... pero thats all part of the game ika nga.... as long as you can get away with it.... so if the refs call it, there's no point complaining....

oo huling huli nga ung ginawa nila sa trap nila kaya natatawagan sila ng foul as for casio two replays showed na talagang offensive foul siya. ung una sa first half against jai ang sabi niya hinahawakan daw sya sa jersey eh kung mapapanood mo ang replay wala naman nakahawak sa kanya. tapos ung last nanulak pa siya against jai again to create space. magulang talaga. i dont know wtf pumaren is complaining about on those fouls by his star player. the video camera does not lie.

judging from your "good" grammar and "excellent" spelling you may be the poser yourself...but i admire you for your "gutsy move"

who else believes this "lasale(ista)" belongs to this thread?---i don't.

at any rate, in tonight's news--- bro. bernie oca dlsu rep. to uaap board, has issued an official statement accepting the outcome of the game, congratulating ateneo...and preparing the green archers for the 2009 season.

hail to de la salle!

I don't either :thumbsupsmiley: for someone who "claims" to be a lasallite, the least he could do is get the spelling right... tsk tsk tsk :) well then again, buti na lang hindi "VL SALE" ang pagka-spell nya...

Hey boss ku sa call center mas malala pa sa akin but he is one of the best in the country sa tech support. Di sa pag yayabang honestly I'm one of the top agents sa pinaka mahirap na account and tech support yan sa Libis. La sa galing sa pag english or grammar masusukat ang skill at san skul nanggaling bro

whoa! you lost me there bro! what does being one of the top agents of a call center have anything to do with spelling your school name right? I get it that you type like you text, i agree with you na ang galing ay di nasusukat sa pag english or sa school na pinanggalingan, but to misspell your school's name... which by the way, you "claim" you are from is a different thing... at least the people you call "posers" spelled LA SALLE right...

and personally, i even think that these so called "posers" are the real thing, coz times have changed bro... on court, we k*ll each other, we hate each other's guts, but after the game, i can hang out with my lasallite friends and talk about the game... at the end of the day, we all know it's just a game...

ONE BIG FIGHT!

actually playing rough in basketball is a style of playing and the master of that type of play is non other than the Big J. But unlike la salle, the Big J can dish it out and he can accept it if he gets called for a foul. of course may gestures now and then pero I never recall him or his team during his coaching years not to accept the 2nd place trophy even if its was against arch rival Crispa (btw, solid Crispa ako). the worst he would do is send a benchwarmer to get the trophy but never a no show kasi ang pangit naman nun. para kang hindi lalaki na hindi matanggap na natalo.

personally, i salute the better team this season- the blue eagles...congrats for a job well done!

as a green archer myself, i cannot condone the behaviour of my team i rooted for the whole season

for not accepting 2nd place. let us not be poor losers, guys. it's not the type of image we want those who

idolize you as team to remember this year as part of uaap history...bilog ang bola...may next year pa..

time to lick our wounded pride and get back to shape for next year...Animo La Salle!!!

Wow man!!! If only more la sallites think like you, your school would be a lot better. It really sad that happened. Coach Pumaren is a great coach. Thats why I'm surprised he allowed his team to bahave like little kids na pikon.

Good luck next year to la salle and all the teams. I think FEU will be the team to beat next year. After ADMU of course.

At least, I give you credit for your honesty. But, for someone who takes a cheap shot at what you claim as "posers" in this thread, you're exposing yourself to more flaks to the true Ateneans and La Sallians of MTC.

As arch rivals since the NCAA years, passions & emotions always get to fever pitch in every ADMU-DLSU encounter. We even curse each other in the hardcourt in the heat of every game, but when things cool off, we sure know how to handle victory and accept defeat at the end of the tussle. It's sad that we lost the trophy to a better team. But, it's even sadder if we're accused as sour losers.

We are no better, but certainly no worse than the rest of the UAAP teams. The only fact is: Whether some like it or not, the La Salle-Ateneo rivalry is the best deal there is. Nothing comes even close to this intense rivalry. From the NC years, the rivalry will continue to run for generations in the UAAP, but the enmity will not die because at the end of every battle, the spirit of mutual respect for the victorious and the fallen prevails.

Unfortunately for you, the medium you are using to air your "win at all cost never accept second place" philosophy does put a high premium on grammar and spelling. Kaya nga text speak is frowned upon by members in this forum.

Hmmm .... "creative" use of language .... undying support for the lasal basketball team .... unwavering loyalty to a school not necessarily your alma mater .....

teka, di kaya ikaw si Boom Gonzales?

medyo ot ito. pero opinion ko lang tingnan natin ang pagka magaling mo bilang agent pagka harapan mong kausap ung mga irate mong customers hehehe. please spell the name of the school properly dahil diyan alaskadao ka pa sa ibang mga nagpopost dito. :)

assuming it is the basketball university baka naman pwedeng ituro niyo rin yung tinatawag na good manners and right conduct at bigyan niyo naman ng kahihiyan ang mga fans ninyo sa school niyo.

Di ba pikon ang tawag dun sa dahil lang akala nila biased yung officiating hindi lalabas para kunin yung trophy? cant admit your were bested by the Blue Eagles?

yan ang 'win or lose its the school we choose' we will not add to the sadness of our loss by acting like little boys crying in a corner because we lost. we lose we accept and its still the school we choose. thats why we will not embarass the name of our school by showing such behavior.

ONE BIG FIGHT FOR THE BLUE AND WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MASARAP TALAGA MAGING ATENISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WIN OR LOSE, ITS THE SCHOOL WE CHOOSE. THAT IS THE ATENEO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry bud, I aint from the two schools. I AM VERY HAPPY THAT ATENEO WON, and EXCEEEDINGLY HAPPY that ATENEO WON at the expense of a university where basketball (not studies) come first. hence, basketball univ

and their deserter (RP Youth) coach pulled another one by not accepting their trophy. what do you expect from a DESERTER ?
