jupetsu
Really? Haha. I thought only newbies used gloves. Whatever makes you happy, but I'd rather have calluses Quote Link to comment
staringatdsun
I stopped using gloves ages ago. Most of the lifting gloves available here are the cutoff types meaning naka expose yung distal half ng fingers so yung area ng bone na yun is still exposed and that's where callouses form especially when using really heavy free weights. So in my case, ganun din I still get callouses. There was also an incident when I was benching, may naipit na skin in between the folds of the gloves and the bar , muntik ko nang mahulig yung bar with weights sa ulo ko because of that..i did not use them again after that. bfadapproved
Yes, i wear gloves. Without it, I will have more callusses. I suggest the Manly brand, which you can buy in The Athletes Foot stores. Quote Link to comment
Nate Gray
I don't use gloves and prefer people that don't care about callouses on their hands. Calloused hands are the signs of a good worker and these are the people you want to be training with. From a training perspective, training without gloves helps develop grip strength, which in turn directly affects our ability to develop tension within our body. Quote Link to comment
