*kalel*
In addition, the guards and forwards are slashers and not good perimeter players... i clog lang nila lane pag palagi sila salaksak.... magsosona lang ang depensa palagi... azraelmd
i hope hindi guard ang kunin sa draft...we need a back up center(torres),a solid sf (rosario)/(newsome) or an abueva like player (thompson), we can also have a throwback hardworker (dela cruz). i hope hindi si garvo, amer or sumang ang kunin ng ginebra.Parang mas ok din na SG kunin nila...medyo manipis rotation nila dun...especially injured si headband47...and also pamalit na din sa kanya.... Prospects... Lanete( for me priority pick). Kazekage.Gaara
OBVIOUSLY not satisfied with the performances of crowd-favorite Ginebra and Star this season, San Miguel Corp. chief Ramon Ang has reportedly ordered a revamp of the two teams that will likely end up with coach Tim Cone handling the Kings and Jason Webb calling the shots for the Hotshots. Rumors of such moves began making the rounds last week and gained momentum yesterday when the company appointed Ginebra team manager and alternate governor Alfrancis Chua to a dual roleas the new representative of the Kings to the PBA board and sports director of the giant firm. Chuas assignment to both positions precede the projected announcement of the coaching changes in both the Ginebra and Star camps, which may come any time soon. Its not known what will happen to current Ginebra coach Frankie Lim, who was fined P50,000 and slapped a one-game suspension recently after kicking Alaska star Calvin Abueva in the quarterfinals battle between the two teams. The pony-tailed Chua, who steered the Kings to the 2013 Commissioners Cup finals before he was named alternate governor and team manager, was also acclaimed as the new president of the Basketball Coaches Association of the Philippines last month. He could not be reached for comment yesterday but a reliable source told Malaya-Business Insight that Ginebras move, veering away from the usual league practice of having the company presidents or owners as governor, is unprecedented in the pro leagues 40-year history. Never before has it been done, but its all part of the pahiyang na ginagawa ni (SMC) Boss RSA (Ramon S. Ang), the source said. Only SMCs flag-carrier, San Miguel Beer, remains in the hunt for the season-ending PBA Governors Cup title. Ginebra got as far as the quarterfinals while Star, coming off a grand slam season, was swept in the semis by Alaska. Incoming PBA chairman Robert Non, San Miguels chief of basketball operations, refused to comment on what the source said, maintaining they are focused on the title duel between SMB and Alaska. The Beermen were going for a 3-0 lead last night. What we are focused on now is the championship and we would not distract ourselves with such speculations, Non said. The insider, however, said any official should come any time. Baka as early as bukas (Thursday), said the source. According to the insider, the PBA has already been informed of Chuas twin appointments, the memo of him being the new representative of Ginebra to the pro league in lieu of company president Bernie Marquez reaching the league offices last Tuesday and as sports director yesterday. Such information from the PBAs members are routinely passed on to the league, which formally begins its 41sttseason with the Rookie Draft on Aug. 23. Noli Cortez, Malaya Business Insight Well... here comes the pain. If these happens - it comes with a shock. What will BGSM do? Triangle offense again? why not give CFL another chance? Hindi sa ayaw ko kay Tim Cone but I feel sorry for PF and Coach Frankie. Gusto ba ni Boss RSA puro san miguel teams lang aakyat sa Top 4 lagi? syempre imposible yun dahil may ginagawa din ang ibang teams na paraan. Quote Link to comment
daphne loves derby
eto pa: Tim Cone admits move from Star to Ginebra 'possible:' 'I serve at the pleasure of Mr. Ang' TIM Cone on Thursday broke his silence on his reported move from Star to sister team Barangay Ginebra, saying it is 'possible' while making it clear he has not been informed of any such plans.Talk has been going around for weeks that the most successful coach in history will be tasked by San Miguel Corp. management to pump life back into a Ginebra team that has not won a championship in eight seasons. That would lead to the departure of current Ginebra coach Frankie Lim after just one conference in charge and a vacancy at Star which, although not yet official, was supposed to be filled by Jason Webb.Speaking to Spin.ph from Las Vegas where he is on a scouting trip in the NBA Summer League, Cone said he has not been in touch with management and therefore not informed of any such move."The Ginebra rumors? I'm in the US scouting the NBA Summer League and so I have not been communicating with management," said Cone, who led Purefoods (now Star) to a first grand slam two seasons ago."If there are discussions of that, I've not been informed," he added.Asked if SMB management can transfer him to Ginebra without his consent since he is under contract with Star, Cone said he isn't sure but made it clear he will follow any directive from SMC top honcho Ramon S. Ang."I serve at the pleasure of the president, Mr. Ang, and I'll follow whatever direction he chooses," said Cone. "It's possible, but nothing has been said to me."Cone indicated he expects the situation to clear up when he returns on July 21.Read more at http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news/tim-cone-speaks-up-on-move-from-star-to-purefoods-ramon-ang-pba-san-miguel-corp#CvFMO7dI2AROsXxP.99 2 Quote Link to comment
