junix
Big J and SMC's dispute is now water under the bridge. He already acknowledges SMC when he mentioned them during his number retirement ceremonies. SMC bigshots were present. nagpasaring pa sya na "andito lang ako sa tabi tabi" when asked about the possibility of coaching Ginebra once again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGIuj__2P-Mwatch the 18:40 Ayun naman pala eh. Ano pang hinihintay ng management? Kailangan pa ba ng signature campaign?...sinabi na ni big "j na nandyan lang siya sa tabi-tabi. pumasok na nga sa dugout. wala nang isip-isip pa. *kalel*
Right now, i believe it will be a welcome event if gsm decides to change its coach but i believe if they decide to stay with ato it might still be good for the team.... Chemistry and a new system will not be a problem... And the whole team might had gained wisdom and experience from the san mig series.... 1 Quote Link to comment

I hope I could be proven wrong though Quote Link to comment

I hope I could be proven wrong though very well said. for me the coach is the captain of the shop and if the coach does not know how to steer the ship specially in times of trouble it will sink. i was just wondering...if ato was coaching RoS last night, would the result be the same...a crisp and perfectly executed play? i just can't help but to compare that play of yeng to the inbound play drawn out by ato in game 1 of the semis. yeng only had 1.6 seconds...yung kay ato ang dami pang oras...ipapasa lang. Haaaay naku... Quote Link to comment
Lyoto Machida
Retraction. VMack is currently playing in Dubai. Leon Rodgers would be the teams import, as per agent Sheryl Reyes. 3 point specialist, listed at 6'7". Played for the Memphis Grizzlies. I think Leon Rodgers will be an asset to GSM given his current credentials... Hopefully! http://www.spin.ph/sports/basketball/news/ginebra-gets-high-scoring-journeyman-as-import-for-pba-commissioners-cup http://contents.spin.ph/image/leon-rodgers-21414.jpg but still, GSM owners need to change their coach or coaching staff if they really want to recover from that embarrassing lost with SMC and Alaska last year. RED2018
Ato's head should be put into the chopping board...his head should roll! No doubt his way way far the capabilities of the elite coaches in the PBA Quote Link to comment
Orgen2
Well, just replace Ato. That is the best move or adjustment this team needs. Management pls listen... listen.... Quote Link to comment
Richmond
No intensity whatsoever nung tinitirahan si Helterbrand ni Simon sa 3rd quarter ng game 7 naka focus yung camera sa kanya naka nganga ganun ba dapat reaction ng coash ? Quote Link to comment
shin26
Hanz_ohm
In terms of coaching, I'd put Jawo above Tim Cone, Chot Reyes and Yeng Guiao. My basis for this is the 1990 Asiad. The 1990 All-Star national team had barely two weeks to train, had to familiarize themselves with international rules as soon as possible and, I believe, had no warm-up games to familiarize themselves with the rules prior to the Asiad. In spite of these reasons, Jawo was able to pilot them to a silver medal finish. Tim Cone could only get a bronze in the 1998 Asiad and this was done with lots of practice and months of playing together. Yeng Guiao didn't even pilot the national team to a Top 3 Finish in the 2009 FIBA-Asia. Chot Reyes spent months letting Gilas jell together and playing tune-up games with national teams of other countries, not to mention the homecourt advantage to get a silver in the 2013 FIBA-Asia. Not to discredit these 3 coaches because they are brilliant coaches but the difficult circumstances that Jawo had to go through to get a silver makes him a cut above the 3 aforementioned coaches in my book. I would agree. Gilas enlisted the services of a 6'11" naturalized Filipino in Douthit. Jawo's tallest player was Realubit listed at 6'6" who just replaced a sick Jerry Codinera. At the same time Jawo chose role players in Rey Cuenco and Dante Gonzalgo over more talented players like Jolas, Alvarez, Victorino and Asaytono. Quote Link to comment
ray004
Ronnie Nathanielsz @ronnathanielszAgustin was made to look like a rank amateur by Tim Cone who totally out-thought and out-coached him.If there's no change forget Ginebra. exactly my thoughts.. Quote Link to comment
Agent_mulder
Late na pero eto ang napuna ko noong game 7 (or for the wholes series for that matter): 1) Greg didn't get that much touches sa bola noong game 7 when he can power his way against reavis o pingris or anyone else; 2)hindi din nila bina box-out ang smc players hence talo sila sa rebounding dinadaan lang nila sa taas ng talon at height, buti pa sina Mamaril at JR Reyes talaga box out muna before rebound and those 2 also give them inside toughness; 3)ang sagwa ng spacing nila sa offense; 3) masyado matagal mag set ng play si Tenorio, puro dribble tapos kung kelan nasa last 6 or 5 seconds na lang ang natitira sa shot clock saka ipapasa o ititira ng pilit o alanganin and Tenorio also don't want to push it maski me chance s'ya to do so and take advantage sa 'di pa naka-set na defense ng smc at 4) si ato nakalimutan na ng tuluyan sina Ababou at Forrester. Management ought to replace Ato, kawawa ang Ginebra at petron, ginagawang Guinea pig ng management pagdating sa coaches, ang smc/pf (or whatever the f#&k their names is) minsan lang magpalit ng coach at talaga namang brilliant ang nakuha nilang coach in Tim Cone, pero ang Ginebra at petron grabe, parang naglalaro lang sila, imagine putting Ato at the helm after ng woeful coaching stint n'ya sa petron, now I read na 'yung assistant coach na kano ni Gee Abanilla na ang magiging coach ng petron, sana naman sa Ginebra ibalik na lang si Al Chua as a coach o kunin na nila si Jawo!
