Well, depends on Hatfield's condition. Sana Ginebra make sure to have him sign a contract and issued a hold departure order in case he violates the terms and conditions of the contract.

 

Kakatawa naman, iba talaga ang Ginebra. Alaska at Purefoods nagbabakbakan sa PBA Championship, pero wala sa most popular threads dito sa Sports section ng MTC.

Haha! R&R (Rico and Rich) never really made a significant impact with Ginebra. Buti pa si JC. Sensya na I have this thing against Atenistas. Haha! I think Mama could hold his own and now with Hatfield back, happy days are here again for Ginebra. A starting 5 of Major Pain, H-Bomb, Baby Rocket and the Fast and the Furious would be fun to watch.

i fully agree. alaska's frontline was just too much against ginebra's frontline. the 2 ateneans were just one step slower than their aces counterparts. hatfield could have been the x-factor for ginebra.

 

nonetheless, with hatfield's impending arrival at the kings' camp, the question now is who goes on the reserved list?

 

Alvarez definitely, sayang lang ang slot n'ya, kung sina Kramer, Bugia or Cabatu ang nasa slot n'ya maybe they could have provided some productions for them. Nabopols na ng todo ang No. 1 Pick ng 2003 ('03 nga ba o '04?)

Ok naman si Villanueva though 'di consistent, saka parang 'di na s'ya 'yung "Raging Bull" na nasa red bull dati na agresibo at physical. Si Alvarez naman (na former UAAP) didn't quite lived up to expectations, I remember then Ginebra coach Allan Caidic circa 2003 na nagsabi na ang mga tulad nila Rich Alvarez at Tony Dela Cruz (who were both with shell at that time), ang mga players who could fill-up that no. 3 position, putik pati sa free throws na-bopols si Alvarez eh. Punong-puno kasi sila sa 1 and 2 spot kaya nasasayang din sina Kramer, Cabatu at Bugia, Kramer is a good rebounder, si Cabatu naman malaki pero merong tira sa perimeter and even beyond that while si Bugia ok din para sa akin dahil may galaw din sa shaded area.

Talo pa nga ng coke at barako bull/red bull ang alaska dahil meron silang room dito sa sports thread. Meron ang pf kaso nasara na daw sabi ni complicated.

With Reavis they had a legit shotblocker o kung 'di man can alter/change the attempt of the player/s of the opposing team, also shot block and rebounding are the departments where Ginebra really lags behind this conference.....

While Purefoods and Alaska are still contesting the All Filipino crown, the 8 other squads are slowly starting the preparations for the Fiesta Conference which opens on March 21st. And to make sure they’ll be the ones in the finals for next conference, several teams are naturally seeking ways to buff up their roster.

 

In fact two playoffs teams that were at odds with each other have smoked the peace pipe and are negotiating a blockbuster deal which could send a player known for his patented move for a player who amazes with his hang time. That same popular team is also trying to bate this one player who was traded recently and an energy guy from another team as an alternate plan if plan A won’t push through.

 

These two teams are also discussing the possibility of trading two players in the forward position. A Fil-Am for a former collegiate standout? This is not a priority but if the offer is there, both are willing to give it a go.

 

While Mr. Patented move and the Fil-am forward are in the market, a streak shooter and a center from that same squad are also reportedly going back to their previous turf. In exchange, a former free agent who proved to be a brawny banger and a wide center with a nice shooting touch from mid range will be donning new colors. This will be the center’s 3rd team in the PBA.

 

And speaking of centers, one team which had a late surge in the standings before bowing out of the playoffs is now open for negotiations for their star center. Nothing is final yet with whom they’ll be trading with because they’re weighing out their options. This could mean whatever is being offered right now is not enough. They’re also trying to find a way to get a former PBA player back in the league which could improve their perimeter game.
