I don't know if ROTC is mandatory again or not but one thing is certain, I'm not in favor of this course. This course is just a waste of money for the parents and waste of time for the students. In my entire college years I've never learned anything from this course and I'm not just speaking for myself but for my other friends who share the same opinion as well. Let's not waste the precious time of the students let them just concentrate in their studies. They say that in times of war our military will need the service of these students and I say that in times of war I think everybody will be willing to fight for the country and not just these students only. One thing they want this course to be mandatory again. Yeah I knew you would get it. MONEY.

Practice, practice, march, march, theoritical, tactical etc...salute... 3 steps outdoor, 2 steps indoor.. Aside from the regular saturday meetings, we have a week of straight instruction, for competition yata. after winning akala namin yun na yun, naknampitumputpitong kalabaw... another week(as in 7 days) of instruction, whole day for the regional competition.

definitely. look at israel, very tiny, vwery capable of defending itself from everyone surrounding them. though I believe military science and practice is not for everybody. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THE BASICS. It strengthens the will of a nation to fight if need be. It also instill attention to detail and discipline. I know a friend who graduated from a US military school after his tour of duty...he now works as a salesman. great for him!!!

Hindi kailangan...

1. Kung magkaka-world war ulit... isang nuclear bomb lang katapat natin...

8. Ok lang ang CAT sa high school... pero... college is the preparation for professional career... careerin ba ang pag-martsa...

I agree with you partner, The system is not perfect pero at least everybody gets to know the basic

I'm here in the Middle east right now and i used to do site surveys for off road telecom sites sa northern regions. hehehe hanga ang arabo sa Pinoy dahil marunong ang grupo namin gumamit ng mapa at compass, something i learned from BASIC ROTC
