Suicide_boy
may questions lang ako..1) kelangan ba ng separate license to drive a bike? you need to add restriction code 1 (motorcycles) to your existing drivers license. shouldn't take too long or be much of a hassle. 2) ano tawag sa mga bikes like hondas n suzukis? yung pinang kakarera? i dunno what you mean. but the most popular races are for sportbikes (CBR, R1, GSXR, Ducati, etc.) and underbones (XRM, Wave, Raider, etc.). 3) ano ba good fuel consumption ng bike? kungyari sa kotse ay mga 8-12Km/L depends pa sa makina.. eh sa bike ba how much? pinaka magastos in my experience was around 15 km/L pero super laki and uhaw na yung bike na yun. may nakita kasi akong ad.. motortrade ang name ng company or make ng bike?.. d ko sure.. pero cougar ang model ng bike.. 62K ito specs...cylinder: single cylinderengine type: 4 strokedisplacement: 150ccboke x stroke 61 x 49.5,,max horse power: 11.8kw/ 9500 r/minmax torque: 10.2Nm / 7800 / 8500 r/minignition system: CDI magnetostarting system: kick/ electricfuel tank capacity: 13L wat do u guys think? pang drive around lang naman e.. ndi pang karera.. THANX!<{POST_SNAPBACK}> i'm not familiar with that bike or brand so can't really comment. but as much as possible, stay away from china/korean bikes. Their prices are enticing but quality control is not as stringent. I'm sure there are a lot of reliable chinese/korean bikes on the road now, but it's hit and miss as far as i've heard. You may well be buying into a lot of maintenance expenses. Quote Link to comment

Don Carleone
i meant those bikes na kinakarera are those na pag medyo mabilis na takbo mo, yung medyo naka bend forward na sakay mo.. tama ba?? ummmm i think sports bikes nga tawag dun.. yung pag nagtuturn sila ay naka labas ang tuhod? neways, im not really after performance.. mas gsto ko nga super tipid sa gas na kahit mabagal kasi yun naman habol ko kaya ako magbbike.. tipid lang tlga sa gas.. anyways, thanx for the reply.. kung may alam kayong cheap sports bike, let me knw naman.. yung kahit mga 150cc lang.. BTW, ang xrms pinangkakarera? i dnt really like those kinds of bikes.. walang angas factor e.. hehe thanx nga pala for the rep! Quote Link to comment
Suicide_boy
you mean like this? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y32/suicide_boy/This%20is%20Me/avatar.jpghttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a372/BRC_races/2005%20Sept%2011/DSC_0042.jpg i don't think you'll find anything thats 150 cc with the same looks, sound, 'porma' and reliability. Still, i'd go for a 250. here are some pictures: 4-strokes: Honda CBR250http://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/hon-cbr250-89-bikepics-38766.jpg Kawasaki ZXR250http://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/kawasaki-zxr250-90-bikepics-207612.jpg Yamaha FZR250http://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/yam-fzr250-90-bikepics-12524.jpg 2-strokes: Honda NSR250http://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/honda-nsr250-87-bikepics-045230.jpg Yamaha TZR250http://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/yam-tzr250-87-bikepics-29168.jpg i'll post some pics of suzuki's later. yes, underbone racing is very popular and very intense nowadays. Serious racers spend unbelievable amounts of money to set up their bikes. Some serious teams even compete in other countries in South East Asia. Quote Link to comment
Olympus
Nice pics. I won't go for a suzuki 2 stroke bike tho. Mahirap pyesa, based on experience. mag honda o yamaha ka nalang. Pero for commuting, nothing would beat an underbone since madali sumingit singit and matipid pa sa gas you mean like this? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y32/suicide_boy/This%20is%20Me/avatar.jpghttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a372/BRC_races/2005%20Sept%2011/DSC_0042.jpg i don't think you'll find anything thats 150 cc with the same looks, sound, 'porma' and reliability. hoodsy2004
There are some sports bike that is around 150 cc. You can check the honda cbr 150 rr and also the kawasaki krr 150 which i think is a two stroker. both bikes costs around 150 k brand new. underbones are nice for daily commuting. honda xrm's fuel consumption is about 50 km/liter, suzuki raider 35-38 km/liter, yamaha x-1 (as claimed by yamaha) consumes 86 km/liter. just my opinion, stay away from china bikes.... their quality is not comparable to japanese bikes Quote Link to comment
valentino rossi
if you're going to use it for commuting and not after speed, i suggest you go for an underbone or a scooter, but if you want some bling-bling, a fat tire attached on a bigbike is what you should get. 150k for a 150cc bike does not justify it for me. you can already find a decent super4 at a much lower price than that. you can even find a good 2nd hand 400cc sport bike on that budget.but sportsbikes are not recommended for daily commute. why? they are heavier and maintenance would be too high if you're on a budget. you're best bet would be a super4 if you're going to use it for daily commute. here's a pic of my friend's super 4. :thumbsupsmiley: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c36/imtoofast/motorcycles/repsol01.jpg Quote Link to comment

stroker
but sportsbikes are not recommended for daily commute. why? they are heavier and maintenance would be too high if you're on a budget.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> sportbikes aren't neccessarily heavier. in general, sportbikes are designed to be lighter than standards and cruisers. the logic behind it is loose weight, you go faster. maintenance wise...maybe you spend more on wax on a sportbike due to the bodywork. a bike is basically the same as the next bike. say for example, the super 4 basically has a cbr engine. woulld the engine maintenance cost of a cbr400 be different from a super 4? not likely. Don Carleone
damn ang gaganda.. i want those! pero malaki ba diff ng fuel consumption ng sports bikes compared sa mga other bikes like XRMs? ano ba pinaka tipid sa gas ngayon? Quote Link to comment
Rapsa69s
mga tols, hingi lang ako konti advice..... last saturday, inalok ako ng pinsan ko na bumili ng 2nd hand suzuki shogun 125cc... stroker
there is a difference in terms of fuel comsumption between large displacement bikes and underbones...and i don't mean a small difference. the only limiting factor for the underbone's range isn't fuel consumption but it's relatively small capacity fuel tank.
