cool_as_ice
is this the iPhone 4G/HD? http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/04/4g-twitpic-rm-eng.jpg Is this the iPhone 4G (or iPhone HD)? There's no way to tell for sure, but these photos which made their way into our hands certainly do a convincing job of making us think that's very much the case. Apparently the phone was found on the floor of a San Jose bar inside of an iPhone 3G case. Right now we don't have a ton of info on the device in question, but we can tell you that it apparently has a front facing camera (!), 80GB of storage (weird, right?), and isn't booting at this point (though it was previously, and running an OS that was decidedly new). It's not clear if this is definitely a production model, or just a prototype that found its way into the world, but it's certainly a compelling design, no matter how you look at it. ..read more.. Itto Ogami
pls note that the video chat featureis available only in WiFi, and betweeniPhones only. they still have to work out detailswith the carriers if they're gonnapush through with real video calling. i find 3G video calling crappy.i want to see if the 4G version isalready smooth & HD-quality. would be nice to see iPhone4 gohead-to-head with HTC EVO 4G. boomouse
anyone know hanyone knows how to disable the wifi and internet connection? i have try turning off the 3G and wifi but it seems to be connecting still I have a small app named 'Toggle' installed in my jailbroken iPhone. A swipe across the network name at the top of the screen brings up a window that you click on to turn on (or off) 3G/EDGE, wifi, bluetooth and even terminate running processes. I have also discovered the best guy for this kinds of things in a shop at the Makati Cinema Square. His shop is directly to the right of Starapple (if you are facing starapple). I'm quite handy with OSX and a Mac but I haven't had the time nor experience (and I don't want to risk bricking any phones) for the handheld Apple devices. This guy seems like an expert like no other I have seen. Both software and hardware on iPhones and iPod Touch. With toggle, using even a prepaid SIM from Smart is viable because you can prevent the phone from connecting to the 3G or EDGE network without your knowledge. It still costs P10 per half hour but at least you're aware that you are being charged. This was a problem even with legit Globe users especially the post-paid clients who suddenly have a conniption once they get their bill which was ran up by apps that connect as if the phone was always on an unlimited data plan. sleekee
dont you guys think that the iPhone 4 design (shape and dimensions) are a bit old school? parang naging sony ericsson na yng shape... i think i like the 3G models more than the new design. i was hoping na yung bagong iphone would be something mapapa WOW ka visually. pero medyo disappointing. although the technical specs are good, the design is visually not very impressive. ska yung video calls matagal na available sa ibang phones. i used to have a SE w960i before i switched to iphone, at meron na yun capability for video calls. liu bei
the new iphone 4.0 has a micro sim card slot which is not compatible with our sim cards here...so if Globe will get the contract again from apple...they might issue micro sim cards to those who will avail plans that have a high monthly dues...what do you think guys?
