_eRon_
Shevchenko to ChelseaWritten by: Francisco BarretoAndriy ShevchenkoLONDON, Mar 30 (SW) - The Guardian is reporting that AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko and Chelsea have agreed to terms, signaling a summer move to Stamford Bridge for the Ukraine international. Reports suggest that Shevchenko has agreed in principle to a four-year contract and is prepared to submit a transfer request to Milan. The Italian club value Shevchenko at £35 million, and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich would appear to be content to match the San Siro club’s valuation, though £10 million-rated Hernán Crespo could go the other way in part exchange. The transfer fee and Shevchenko’s wages would cost Chelsea nearly £60 million, and with the London club also expressing interest in luring Bayern Munich’s Michael Ballack and Arsenal left-back Ashley Cole to Stamford Bridge, it could be another summer of unprecedented spending for the English champions. http://www.soccerway.com/news/2006/march/3...enko-to-chelsea pag nakuha ng chelsea si shevchenko, grabe, magiging matindi ang attacking line nila.. panalo Manchester United sa West Ham United, 1-0, a winning goal from Van Nistelrooy to cement his place as the premiereship's top scorer with 20 goals.. Mido is a great striker, magaling sa air, consistent, the spurs should make him sign as soon as possible.. Inter Milan 2-1 Villareal & AC Milan 0-0 Lyon.. Quote Link to comment

_eRon_
Liverpool confirm takeover talksWritten by: Francisco BarretoLiverpool FCLIVERPOOL, Mar 29 (SW) - The governing board of European Cup holders Liverpool have confirmed that it is in negotiation with “a number of parties” interested in taking control of the club. Spanish multi-millionaire Juan Villalonga was linked with the club earlier in the week, promising to transform Liverpool “from a domestically focused club into a global force". But a statement released by the Liverpool board has confirmed that the Spaniard’s offer is not the only one being considered by the Anfield authorities. The statement read: "The board of Liverpool FC has noted the recent press speculation concerning possible third-party investment into the club and can confirm that it is continuing discussions with a number of parties regarding a potential investment of new funds into the club. "Although the structure of any such investment is uncertain, it may include an offer for the entire share capital of the club. Shareholders will be kept updated as appropriate." The club has been the subject of repeated interest from investors in recent years, with Liverpool drawing bids from Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and local businessman Steve Morgan. In November 2005, there were also rumors linking the U.S.-based Kraft family with a potential bid. http://www.soccerway.com/news/2006/march/2...-takeover-talks Wenger: “We will finish the job in Juventus”Written by: Francisco BarretoArsenal's Thierry HenryLONDON, Mar 29 (SW) - Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, fresh off the stunning 2-0 win against Juventus at Highbury, is confident his young side can progess pass Juventus. Wenger said: "My only regret was that I felt there was one more goal in this game for us. "I believe we will finish the job in Juventus but there's still a lot to come. "We have to keep our feet on the ground and continue to play the game we want to play, keep our football as simple as we can and play in a positive mood. "That's what the boys do and they can do better. They are not inhibited. There is quality in this team and they are good to watch. "For a long time we needed to adjust to the Premiership to find confidence. The win against Real Madrid may have helped us." The second leg is scheduled for next Wednesday, April 5, at the Stadio della Alpi in Turin. http://www.soccerway.com/news/2006/march/2...job-in-juventus for liverpool fans, mukhang balik na ang glory days ng liverpool once magkaroon na sila ng financial backer.. ang yabang din tlga ni arsene wenger hehehehe... mauiboy
between liverpool and man.united, mas maganda ang prospect ng liverpool for next year. rooney is talented pero you can't build a team around just one player.giggs might retire next season same with neville and with the financial woes of man. united, mahihrapan sila to land a quality player much more a good midfielder. sa tingin ko,naghahanap na lang ng one final glory si alex ferguson then mag reretire na ito.kaya nga pati carling cup pinatulan dis year eh.pero with the spectre of chelsea bringing in more superstars to it's team and liverpool's youngsters continously improving their game, mukha magreretiro si sir alex ng empty handed Quote Link to comment
