Mr. Affogato
One summer I got the courage to join a swim school to learn how to swim. Choose the later schedules as parents of little kids wont choose it. I only had I classmate, a HS girl for my schedule and the instructor's assistant was beautiful. It was well spent as I learned how to float and at least how to do freestyle. Quote Link to comment
Eddy Syet
Syet, I don't know how to swim but I would love to learn. Meron bang affordable na swimming school or do you know anyone who gives lessons for an affordable price? Quote Link to comment
revenant0909
I learned how to swim just a year ago. It's not really that hard, you need a lot of courage (to get drown haha) and persistence. And also, you should have a goal/objective on why you want to learn how to swim. (e.g. sports, survival, etc.) Quote Link to comment

James01MTC
Guys I just want to share. I learned how to swim when i was already in my late 20's. Wag kayo mapanghihinaan ng loob kht may edad na. Kaya matutunan lahat ulit. :-)The first thing I learned in swimming is the correct way of kicks. Kicks muna importante! Isa isa lang wag mag madali matuto! It takes time! Quote Link to comment

Bogskyb
I learned how to swim sa province. Quote Link to comment
jologs32
When floating inhale as much as you can then maintain the air in your lungs then balance yourself in the water. Having the air in your lungs makes you float. When breathing leave some air in your lungs so you won't totally get drown when floating. I learn to swim way back in elementary but I doesn't last long. I develop my swimming when I'm in college lessons and learn different techniques like freestyle, butterfly, frog, backstroke and etc. Quote Link to comment
***SUPREMO***
can you still learn swimming if you're already in your 40s? Quote Link to comment
Death_Threat
can you still learn swimming if you're already in your 40s? Yes,I actually learned to swim when I turned 40, 2 years ago. Swimming is a great recreational activity for people of all ages. keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body. It builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. Its relaxing and peaceful form of exercise which I now do 3 times a week. Quote Link to comment
glyr
Chambahan. nung una, lakad lakad lang sa pool, kinakabahan pag malalim na then transition to langoy aso then sisid. So ayun, nakakahiya man aminin, pang swimming pool lang ako. haha Quote Link to comment
StriX
How? practice buoyancy first. pnta k sa malalim or atleast dun sa hndi mo kaya tayuan sa pool. dala k ng salbabida or dun k malapit sa hagdan kapit kapit k lng sa gilid ng pool. slowly try to thread the water. pag feeling mo lulubog kna kapit ka ulit sa gilid ng pool or sa anong mangdala mo that time. then repeat the process until you're fully accustomed to it. Lakas lng ng loob ang kailangan. don't panic, relax your body, breath normally for sure lulutang ka. once you're good at it. for sure, kayang kayang mo ng lumangoy.
