JediMasterTebs
Batista in a title shot again?!?!?! WWE be realistic for crying out loud.. And Funaki using steroids?! WWE News: McMahon rejects off season idea, RAW announcing news For the past several years, a number of individuals in the pro wrestling media have been advocating for an "off season" that would allow WWE performers a few months to rest their bodies and spend time with family. The Chris Benoit family tragedy gave that proposal increased exposure, although if a F4WOnline.com report is correct, it will not be implemented. Figure 4 Weekly reports that WWE employees have approached WWE Chairman Vince McMahon with the idea multiple times over the last few months. McMahon completely rejected the idea on all occasions and does not appear to be loosening his stance. In a follow-up to reports that WWE paired Tazz with Jim Ross on last week's RAW in order to see how a different announcing team would perform, F4WOnline.com says that the original plan was for John Bradshaw Layfield to provide color for Jim Ross. Bradshaw was out of town with his wife, however, so WWE instead called on Tazz for the gig. http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2007_/arti.../1188442710.php This issue came up after the death of Eddie Guerrero.. Ako, I personally agree with the off-season thing of wrestling esp for the WWE, since they travel a lot 3 to 4 month rest in my opinion will not hurt them since kumikita din naman sila sa DVD sales(oh by the way yung nde pa nakakapanood watch the Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior), merchandise and its a good thing to cook up new story lines.. JustSmile=)
WWE is on the way down... Dammit Jim Cornette, wake up!! Seize the opportunity, TNA can really blow up this time around. But then again, (I think) more than half of the TNA locker room are on drugs as well.. Quote Link to comment

jbounce
Sayang talaga Cryme Time. Buti na lang Shad Gaspard isn't burning his bridges. Apparently, nagka-heat talaga between Cryme Tyme and the Rednecks which ended up with them working stiff in the house show. Shad has a myspace blog and he was repentant and understood the reasons they were let go. At least he has the right attitude and it won't be long until we see them in the WWE again. bret_hart
According to several sources, former Ring of Honor/Wrestling Society X star Matt Sydal has officially signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment and will be finishing up his independent bookings and then report to wherever he is assigned by the company. PWTorch.com is reporting that With the recent suspensions and injuries of several top WWE wrestlers, the company is in need of more star power. Two names that WWE is hoping to bring back this fall are Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho. However, neither man has officially agreed to a return date. Shawn Michaels underwent knee surgery on May 23rd and was originally expected to return by the end of summer. Those plans are currently on hold - as Shawn Michaels has informed WWE that he is in no rush to return. He is considering taking an extended break from the road and then returning at a later time with a lighter schedule. WWE is in a completely different place than it was when Michaels was injured - with the Benoit family tragedy and the Congressional investigation. WWE continues to have interest in a Chris Jericho return. It is unclear how close the two parties are to striking a deal, but there is ongoing contact. A press conference will be held tomorrow morning at 10:45 a.m. Eastern at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York to release findings from the examination of the brain of Chris Benoit. Michael Benoit, the father of Chris, gave Julian Bailes, MD, the Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at West Virginia University, the rights to examine his son's brain. Michael Benoit will be speaking at the press conference along with Dr. Robert Cantu (Director of sports Medicine at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA) and Cary Itchter (Benoit's lawyer). It is believed at this point that the findings reveal at the press conference will confirm damage that would enable a "diminished capaciy" defense for Chris Benoit's slaying of his wife and son before killing himself. As reported earlier, Michael Benoit will be appearing on ABC this Thursday on "Good Morning America" and "Nightline" to talk about the diminished capacity theory. Quote Link to comment
