beastmode
yeah i kinda hate that spinner belt too. Okay lang sana kung si John Cena yung may hawak, kaso hindi na siya eh... I kinda like the storyline about Randy Orton and the Legacy todo build up yung WWE para siguro sulitin yung 10-year contract deal hehehe... Parang nakakasawa na yung "stealing the belt" style ni Edge... Quote Link to comment

hitman531ph
Scotty Goldman ReleasedWith just a few appearances, WWE has released Scotty Goldman from his contract. Hogan vs CenaWWE is currently trying to put together a match between Hulk Hogan and John Cena. Keeping Edge A Secret When word got out that Christian Cage was going to be revealed as the man behind the attacks on Jeff Hardy, Vince McMahon was furious. He wanted to make sure that big storyline secrets weren't going to be revealed again. So, the company went to great lengths to ensure that wrestling fans would not know about Edge stealing the World Heavyweight Championship at the No Way Out pay per view. On the day of the pay per view, Vince McMahon ordered the ring crew to put a giant tarp over the Elimination Chamber set in order to prevent people from seeing who was in the ring as the wrestlers were working out how the match was going to be scripted. It's very obvious that Vince McMahon didn't even trust anyone in the arena, including his very own employees. Smackdown Moving To WGN? The backup plan for WWE right now is to move Smackdown over to the WGN network if things with MyNetwork TV falls through. MyNetwork TV is currently on the bubble right now. They recently made a major change to their format where they have canceled all original programming (with the exception of Smackdown). WWE obviously has been keeping an eye on the situation. If things collapse with MyNetwork TV, then WWE will attempt to switch things over to WGN. The network was in the runnings for Smackdown after the CW network decided to drop WWE from their programming. However, WWE went with MyNetwork TV instead because WGN does not air in many of the major markets (including the highly sought after New York market). Rock Refuses Wrestling Role Just how badly does Dwayne Johnson (the actor that some of you may remember as the Rock) want his wrestling background to be forgotten by the masses? Quite a bit, it seems. Movie producer Mark Ciardi, who was responsible for The Game Plan, approached Dwayne Johnson about doing a movie role that involved professional wrestling. Dwayne Johnson was adamant against doing it. Mark Ciardi also mentioned that professional wrestling was what helped Dwayne Johnson get to where he is today. However, the former WWE Heavyweight Champion doesn't really like to discuss his wrestling past. The true story behind why Christian is in ECW has been revealed, and it's an interesting one. Christian in ECW If you believe that WWE had originally intended to put Christian on ECW, then you're absolutely wrong. The original plan for the former TNA world champion was to be thrown into the mix with Jeff Hardy on Smackdown. When Christian decided to return to WWE, there was a bit of a tug-of-war between the writers of Raw and Smackdown about who would get to pick him up. Both Brian Gewirtz and Michael Hayes (along with Edge) were pushing heavily to work with Christian because of his talents. Christian ended up being placed on the ECW brand because of how Vince McMahon feels about him. Change of Plans Michael Hayes had originally came up with the storyline where Christian was going to be revealed as the man behind the attacks on Jeff Hardy. When he sensed that Vince McMahon wasn't a big fan of the idea, he decided to change things up and put Matt Hardy into the storyline instead. That ended up being something that Vince McMahon approved of. With his storyline now off the table, the writers had no choice but to stall on Christian's television return. Vice president John Laurinaitis was one of the key players behind the signing of Christian, so he wanted to make sure that something was being done with him as soon as possible. That sense of urgency led the creative team to decide to put him in ECW in a program against a wrestler that Vince McMahon was very high on (Jack Swagger). Not A Star The weird thing about all of this is that Vince McMahon still does not view Christian as a potential main event wrestler in his company. He views Jack Swagger as more of a main event wrestler than he does Christian. One of the main reasons why Christian left WWE for TNA a couple of years ago was because he was frustrated that Vince McMahon wouldn't give him a shot at the main event. When his contract with TNA came to an end, Christian felt the urge to come back to WWE. He was hoping that Vince McMahon would give him a shot at the main event after seeing his work in TNA as a main event performer. Unfortunately, though, that doesn't look like something that will end up happening. Quote Link to comment

hitman531ph
It's been a while since we last heard him complain, but it's hard not to wonder if Carlito is really happy or not. Is Carlito Really Happy? For a while there, it seemed like there was a new report coming out every week about Carlito being unhappy with WWE. He even went as far as to personally request his release from the company with Vince McMahon. The chairman was able to convince the 2nd generation star to stick with the company, though. Promises of a push and the potential of having his brother being promoted from developemental were two of the reasons why Carlito decided to stick around. On the surface, it appears as if Carlito is happy. However, when you read between the lines, he might not be happy at all. Promised Push One of the things that you hear pretty often from wrestlers is that they become disgruntled when promises of a push aren't kept. It happens pretty often in the wrestling industry. It's just the nature of the beast. When Carlito was complaining about how WWE was using him, it was because he was basically stuck in the midcard without much to do. The promised push has yet to surface. Don't fool yourself into thinking that Carlito is being pushed right now just because he has a championship belt in his hands. This is not what Carlito was hoping for when he asked for a push. He wanted to be pushed as a singles star; not a tag team wrestler wearing a belt that no longer has credibility. Brotherly Love The most likely reason why Carlito has kept his mouth shut over the last months is his little brother. A good big brother is one that looks after his younger siblings. Carlito knows that there's very little chance that Primo Colon was going to be called up to the main roster if he hadn't stuck around. He also knows that his brother wouldn't have lasted long as a singles wrestler if he was lucky enough to be called up alone. With the global economy in poor shape right now, it's really wise for Carlito to make sure that he and his sibling remain employed. MITB ParticipantsWWE has revealed that there will be 8 participants in the Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania 25 pay per view. Noble InjuredJamie Noble suffered a stinger during his match against Mike Knox on Raw yesterday. He's said to be doing OK now. Simmons WrestlingRon Simmons has been booked for an independent wrestling show in New Jersey. Gangrel and Jim Neidhart will be there as well. Prinze DepartsFreddie Prinze Jr has left WWE. He had been working as a member of the creative department for a bit now. In a move that doesn't come as a surprise to many people, Manu has been released by WWE. Manu Released On February 23, 2009, WWE decided that it was time to end their experiment with Manu. The short lived member of the Legacy stable was released from his contract and will now sit out 90 days. Manu, whose real name is Afa Anoa'i Jr, was signed to a WWE developmental contract in October of 2006. After a stint as the FCW Heavyweight Champion, he was called up to the main roster in November of 2007. Living Off The Name For those of you that don't know, Manu is a member of the Anoa'i family, which includes Umaga, Rikishi, and the Rock. His name value was a huge reason why he was called up to the main roster. He was at the right place at the right time because WWE was putting a heavy emphasis on acquiring second and third generation wrestlers. Of course, it's difficult to blame WWE for going after name value because so many fans are easily fooled into overrating a wrestler simply because his or her father was a wrestler. It wasn't like Manu was heads and shoulders above the other developmental wrestlers. In fact, his promotion was considered a morale killer for some of the guys in developmental. Manu was rewarded with a spot on the main roster despite being caught for trying to cheat on a drug test. Quote Link to comment
