yrrah123456789
1374994893[/url]' post='8798888']Nice Milo National Eliminations Run this morning! Weather was very cooperative until around 7am, then the clouds cleared and the sun started bearing down hard. Hydration stations were well stocked with water & Gatorade (multiple flavor), and at least one station had bananas for the 21 & 42k runners. There was one station every 2-3kms. There were plenty of runners - around 2,500 42k runners and around 4,000 21k runners. MOA's Seaside Dr was a great starting leg - wide enough to accommodate the huge group of runners. The road was packed but not super tight until it got to Macapagal Ave where the road and runners opened up. Roxas Blvd was blocked off specially for the run from Rizal Park until Edsa, but Edsa to Airport Rd was tight as only half the road was allocated for the runners. Not sure how many 10k runners there were, but there were almost 30,000 5k runners! But they had their separate course from MOA going south towards MOA Arena area. Overall, it was a well managed run.congrats bro.floppy at sa lahat ng finishers ng MILO marathon manila elims. Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
I have to agree with sir Floppy. Milo Marathon was a great event... except kung 5km ang tatakbuhan mo... hehe. weather was really cooperative. hindi masyado mainit. pero this was my worst and my best finish. worst finish because i finished at least 3:15... so didn't made the cutoff, no medals, no certificate. I probably belonged to the last 100 runners of 21km. I didn't mind it. I just ran at a pace that my body can handle, obviously at a walkathon pace. parang nakakatulog na nga ako sa may Roxas Boulevard e.. best finish because at the last KM, after that bridge in macapagal, I felt that i can sprint the until the finish line... and i did it. probably because I stored/saved a lot of energy during the beginning and mid race. Also, no body pains, I feel ok until now. dapat talaga kumpleto ang pahinga before the race. It would really help. Anyway still looking for a good event for August and September. Takbo pa rin hangang may lupa.!!! Quote Link to comment
wyette
Good luck to all runners! Sana maganda ang panahon itong weekend. What special recognition ito sir? Naughty or nice?! Still thinking which distance I'd run for the RUPM! After my run yesterday dito sa Naga, akala ko katapusan na ng running career ko. Ran with cough, colds and fever. t**! It was the worst run in my 2 years of run/jog/walk career! It seemed like it was my first time! mangiyak ngiyak na ako in the last 3km. Buti my friend came back to meet me. Dapat daw practisan ko pa ang pag spit ng phlegm at pag clear ng nose (gross, sorry. )if I want to run with all my sickness! haha PAg bumalik ako sa 21k for RUPM, ang corny naman no? tsk. mag sunblock na lang ako. How did you fair sir? Quote Link to comment

Though I must admit, sunog baga ako sa hingal due to my cough and colds! Quote Link to comment

floppydrive
@wyetteeto yung 5k pic. Congrats, Spirit & Wyette! Grabe, may sakit na tinuloy pa rin! Yan ang diehard! Ang sabi ng announcer 89 people short of 30,000 5k runners ang sumali. Tapos pinatakbo sila in 20 waves. Wow! For the first time, nakaabot ako sa 2:30 cut-off time. Yehey! Edited July 29, 2013 by floppydrive Quote Link to comment

floppydrive
start na ng Priority In-Store Registration (2013 RU2 21k and 32k participants): August 3 to 9 only. 42km na ba? langya.. kinakabahan ako.. hahaha Two months to go before RUPM. Quote Link to comment
wyette
Di pa rin ako nakakapag reg. Still can't decide what distance to run. Konting pilit pa ako. Quote Link to comment
