possible causes: - kulang lang sa pre-jog streching / warm up. - lack of hydration - hot weather (lalo ngayon, 28C @ 7am)   better to have warm ups muna before you start your routine or run as early

Nike We Run Schedule is OUT!!!

 

Walang Manila :(

Sayang nga yung chance makakuha ng dalawang Nike shirts sa murang presyo. Pero super dami na ng takbo ngayon sa greater Metro Manila area, ikaw na ang mamimili.

 

Last year lang ako nakasali sa Nike We Run Manila. Mas matagal pa yung hintay sa corral kaysa sa actual na takbo, tapos ang sikip ng kalsada sa dami ng sumali. Hirap lumusot. Slalom run para makahabol sa target time. Hindi na yun masaya. Buti na lang maganda yung shirts.

kakakuha ko lang nung sub2 21 race kit ko sa reebok trinoma. Bitbit ko lang na naka plastic envelope. Tapos napapasok ako sa New balance.

 

Lintek yung sales beki nila ang galing. Uy sir, tatakbo pala kayo sa nov 16 sa sub2. dapat sumali na rin kayo dito sa New balance run, kahit 16k lang. para praktisadong praktisado ka. Tingnan nyo authentic na new balance t shirt tapos may 1,000 peso discount card ka pa pag bumili ka nang new balance shoes.

 

Napabili tuloy ako nang new balance race kit. In fairness, ang ganda talaga nung t shirt eh. Tapos 850 lang ung 16k so pwede na.

This year's Run United Philippine Marathon was great! Due to the Neverland concert, the start & finish lines were transferred to the road fronting One Esplanade. This turns out to be a better area. The road is wider here for the start, and after a short distance, the run opens up to Macapagal avenue, reducing congestion at the start of the race. For the finish lines, the separated the 42km finish line from the 10K & 21K finish line. Both finish lines had a 150m sprint after turning in from the main road. Great way to finish the race! And the 42K runners even had a red carpet- Royal treatment!

 

Weather was cool, with clouds that stayed on until 7 past. Big help for the runners! Water stations were well stocked and long enough to accommodate plenty of runners. Certain sections of the 21K and 42K route water stations had bananas and sponges too. The water stations were spaced about 1.5km to 2km apart.

 

Overall it was a great race. Rio may charge a high fee for the races he organizes, but the runner won't be disappointed with the race.

 

Only very minor down side was because of the heavy rain the night before, there were puddles and mud at the finishers loot bag collection area.

 

Oh and the medal was nice too! Specially when you get to complete the 3-race series. This year's layered shield design is the nicest compared to 2012's pie & pie plate design, and last year's trapezoid design.

naunahan ka ba nung hume-headline na nandaya na naka sub-5 sa marathon? hehehe <_< <_< <_<

 

anyway, event was really nice. may magandang ka-pace e...

but i cannot stay long that day due to scheduled trips...

 

it felt like my fastest 21km even if I lacked preparation...

 

anubeyan, napa-english ako. hahaha... :lol: :lol: :lol:
