extrarice3
You can't be in Puerto Galera without having a pitcher or two of these. Mindoro Sling 375 ml Tanduay Dark500 ml Sprite 1 jigger Grenadine 1 jigger orange juice concentrate 1 jigger lemon juice concentrate 1 small can Mango Nectar 1 apple Mix all the ingredients well in a pitcher. Then fill the pitcher with ice and add apple slices. You can use a simple banana-q stick as a pitcher-stirrer as it can also be used to stick the slices of apple out of the pitcher. Shot glasses are used for the delivery. This drink closely resembles the taste of Tequila Sunset, but with apples. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

BlockPapi
For gatherings where you can prepare in advance. What You need: A Large Container for the drink (Pitcher's won't do)2 Bottles of white wine 1 Bottle of Boone's Strawberry wine750 Ml of Sprite1 small bottle of GSM Blue (2 if u want it harder)Triple Sec (6-8 shots)3 Oranges3 Lemons3 Limesa pack of Dragon Fruit from the SupermarketKiwis 2 Apples1 small cup of Sugar Slice/dice the fruits.Pour all the wine into the container.Squeeze the Oranges/Lemons and Limes into the container. After squeezing, toss it inNow put in the other fruits.Put it othe spirits. Then fill with sprite.Put in the sugar and stir.Let it sit for 2 to three days in the fridgeWhen its time to serve it, put in ice that's still packed in plastic. (or you could put cubes in a Ziploc)Putting in ice alone would dilute the drink and affect the flavor. Serve on Hot summer days. Quote Link to comment
BlockPapi
"The Perfect Margarita"(According to Jose Cuervo) Put in a Shaker equal parts ofTriple SecTequilaLime Juice. Rub the Rim of a Margarita glass with lemon, and salt it.Shake the drink with ice and strain it on the glass. If this is too strong change the ratio to 2 parts Triple Sec, 2 Parts Lime, and 1 or 1.5 parts tequila. Quote Link to comment

BlockPapi
Natry ko yung "Boracay Mix" last saturday. Ang tapang. it tastes a bit like Vodka Mudslide na mas matapang, and meron siyang awful aftertaste. I'll try the same recipe and substitute Vodka for the Brandy instead. Quote Link to comment

extrarice3
Just posted this one on "Midnight Snack" Silent Martini (ehem, my own cocktail and recipe kuno. Uses no shaker so as not to bother everyone else coz its already damn midnight.) 1 oz dry vermouth5 oz dry gin4 cubes of icea pack of dried Mangoes Open your ref and quietly get the ice cubes from the tray. Mix together on a scotch glass the ice and spirits. Stir using your pinky finger making only the gentlest of sounds. Then quietly go back to your room and enjoy the drink and couple it with dried mangoes or any sweet dried fruit. This is what you do when its already late and you need something to drowse you off to sleep, a sort of an anti-insomnia. You cant use the shaker since this will make a lot of noise. I use the Martini brand for the dry vermouth and the green variety Gilbeys for the dry gin. Eating a sweet snack while sipping this cocktail makes you feel full and sleepy even faster. Again, avoid crackers here. Theyre too noisy to eat especially when you eat with an open mouth (wakes up the whole neighborhood). Edited April 8, 2008 by extrarice3 Quote Link to comment

Those things wont mix, though you can just add something to your gin or brandy to sort of become a cocktail: Add same amount of milk and to your brandy to mimic Brandy Alexander. Squeeze 5 calamansi to half glass of brandy to mimic Brandy Sour. Add sugar to your Brandy Sour to make Sidecar. Gin and Sprite mimics Gin and Tonic. Quote Link to comment

shadowspy
What mixed drink do you usually order in bars? For those who love mixed drinks and aspiring bartenders, share your recipes. My favorite of the week is Madras (vodka-based) and Pegu (gin-based). Madras - this is a smooth fruity drink with a bit of a kick1 1/2 part vodka4 parts cranberry juice1 part orange juicePour all ingredients in a highball glass with ice. Garnish with lime wedge Pegu - you get kicked twice...first from the gin and then from the sourness of the lime1 1/2 part gin1/2 part Cointreau1/2 part lime juice2 dash angostura bitters Your new topic "Cocktails and More" was merged with the ALREADY EXISTING THREAD called "Your Favorite Cocktail Drinks -- Whats your Poison?". Any excess Herbsaint/absinthe is discarded. The Rye-Sugar-Bitters mixture is then poured into the Herbsaint/absinthe coated glass and the glass is garnished with a lemon peel. http://www.gumbopages.com/food/beverages/sazerac.html Edited January 8, 2009 by Erehwon Quote Link to comment
