Hex_Arenas
Thank you very much!!!! I love this! This is my ultimate favorite Baroque music! Last time I heard this was more than 15 years ago! I bought the cassette tape sa UP College of Music and then I lost it :-(the violin player is a girl named Fiona..something... I also did have another version of it done by WEndy CArlos but I lost it too... Would you happen to have Prelude from Cello Suite No 1? I have it by Pablo Casals, and then also from Rostropovich, and Yoyoma's version too...however those I have arent good recordings (poor quality encoding)... Thanks very much for the link! I like to have more recordings of the Academy with Sir Neville Mariner...more Baroque music please? Also some of Telemann's and Vivaldi's works please please???? God bless you! Quote Link to comment

manny a. quito
Yo-Yo Ma collaborating with media artists to realize his musical concepts regarding Bach in physical or virtual space. Product Description from Amazon.com"The Music Garden" (60 min.) features Bach's Suite No. 1 for Unaccompanied Cello. What if we created a garden inspired by Bach? In their quest for the answer, Yo-Yo Ma and garden designer Julie Moir Messervy journey from Boston to Toronto, across bureaucratic miles of frustration and through seasons of changing hope. Their remarkable tale is movingly documented by filmmaker Kevin McMahon. "The Sound of the Carceri" (55 min.) features Bach's Suite No. 2 for Unaccompanied Cello. Imagine Giovanni Piranesi's dazzling "carceri" (prison) etchings, the unrealized dreams of this 18th-century Italian master architect, brought to life in a computer-rendered 3-D "virtual" collaboration. In this cutting-edge film by Francois Girard, Yo-Yo Ma explores Bach's mysterious Second Suite, creating with his music a sound to match the invented spaces of our imagination. Quote Link to comment
