Writings of the Heart

UNFAZED

I wrote your name on the soft, white sand

But the grains fleeted one by one

They were easily swayed by the mystic ocean

So I wrote it on the sky up there

But the clouds came and covered it with its gentle feather

And rains pelted from the sky and your name washed away

I formed it on the snow like a snowman complete with its tie

But the sun melted it down the slope as it bade goodbye

Down and down it went and became a lake mist

Your name, your memory they aimed to be erased on list

Amidst the winter chilly winds and the scorching sun

The heavy rains that ruin our plays and fail our skin to tan

Time and circumstance could not break down the wall

And good things could not be defeated despite a fall

Just like how we found our way again through it all

This time I vow to keep our bond forever

The tough loads we’ll carry on together

I etched your name right here in my heart

And that's where it has been, and will always stay

Yes that’s genuine and simple, trust me on that I say

This one pulls all the strings --

“Acceptance"
There are things I miss
that I shouldn't,
and those I don't
that I should.
Sometimes we want
what we couldn't—
sometimes we love
who we could.
― Lang Leav, Lullabies

Funny, I was about to write this one too. Apir.

Thanks for posting ahead of me.

Saves me the disgrace...

I thought I had love , but love had me

I thought I bought love, but it was free

I thought I could stop, when I could not start

My questions were wrong, it was a riddle of heart

I tried to smile and play a new song

But I just wanted the old pain all along

The reasons that reason does not know,

are the engine of my passion, and make my blood flow

fire and nails fill my desolation

endless immolation and self crucifixion

I can hammer the chains and gnash my teeth

But I made my bed this judgment seat

Wise men are fools, and fools think themselves clever

Goodbyes are fleeting but regret is foreverI thought I had love , but love had me

Sometimes I wonder if it would make a difference if I told her or not.

It's funny I've been writing in this thread as if it's my diary, but what can I say? Maybe it is the best place for a half-blind man to write his unseen reflections..

To my muse, who I can somehow speak to, are three words I mean but cannot say. .. my only wish is, hoping: please stay :)
